The system designed for 1.5 ton air conditioners was presented at ACREX India 2026, Manoj Meena, Founder and CEO of Atomberg Technologies, said while outlining the company’s expansion into HVAC engineering solutions.
Engineering innovation in India’s appliance sector is increasingly extending beyond finished consumer products into core component technologies used across the HVAC ecosystem.
Atomberg Technologies has introduced its AC rotary compressor technology at the ACREX India 2026 exhibition. The system has been developed through the company’s B2B engineering division, Atomberg Innovation Private Limited, which focuses on technology development for the durables and HVAC industry.
The newly introduced rotary compressor technology is designed and manufactured in India for use in 1.5 ton air conditioners. It integrates high efficiency motor technology and improved NVH performance relating to noise, vibration, and harshness while meeting applicable Indian standards.
The development represents Atomberg’s entry into HVAC component technologies and reflects the company’s broader focus on indigenous engineering systems for appliance manufacturing.
Atomberg Innovation Private Limited operates as an end to end ODM partner for appliance and HVAC manufacturers. Its engineering solutions span motor technologies, integrated drive systems, embedded control platforms, and manufacturing capabilities.
The division works across multiple technologies including rotary compressors, air conditioning motors for indoor and outdoor units, field oriented control algorithm motor drivers, solar tracker motors, and drone motors.
Manoj Meena, Founder and CEO of Atomberg Technologies, said, “What began as a journey to reimagine everyday appliances through innovations such as BLDC motor technology has now evolved into building engineering solutions right here in India, such as our AC Rotary Compressor launched today, highlighting our foray into the HVAC ecosystem. Solving real world problems remains at the core of what we do. Over the years, we have built in house technology capabilities across motor design, embedded systems and controller engineering. Our R and D teams look beyond individual components and work on system level integration to build solutions that are efficient, reliable and scalable.”
At Atomberg Innovation, the company’s engineering and manufacturing capabilities cover the entire product lifecycle, including electronics design, digital twin based modelling, testing, and in house manufacturing.
The infrastructure includes surface mount technology lines, motor assembly lines, paint shops, and automated production processes that support rapid prototyping and commercialization. According to the company, some products can move from concept to production within approximately three months.
The vertically integrated manufacturing ecosystem supports both Atomberg’s consumer appliances portfolio and its B2B engineering solutions.
By expanding into advanced motors, compressors, and controller technologies, the company aims to strengthen India’s position in appliance component engineering while contributing to domestic manufacturing capabilities under the Make in India initiative.
Founded in 2012, Atomberg Technologies initially gained recognition for introducing energy efficient BLDC motor technology in ceiling fans in India. The company has since expanded into several consumer appliance categories including mixer grinders, cold press juicers, water purifiers, and smart locks.
With one of Asia’s largest BLDC motor manufacturing facilities located in Chakan, Pune, Atomberg now works with more than 45,000 retail partners across India while continuing to develop engineering solutions through its innovation division.
