Arnika Dixit, President and Head of Cards, Payments and Wealth Management at Axis Bank, and Neetan Chopra, Chief Digital and Information Officer at IndiGo, outline reward structures of up to 7 BluChips per Rs 100 across RuPay and Visa networks
National, February 24, 2026: Axis Bank and IndiGo have introduced two co branded credit cards structured around IndiGo’s loyalty programme, IndiGo BluChip, linking routine consumer spending with airline reward accumulation.
The cards, issued as IndiGo Axis Bank Credit Card and IndiGo Axis Bank Premium Credit Card, are designed with differentiated pricing and reward mechanics aimed at retail and affluent segments. The base variant is priced at Rs 799 plus GST, while the premium version is priced at Rs 5,000 plus GST.
Under the standard card structure, customers earn 1 BluChip per Rs 100 spent on eligible categories, 2 BluChips per Rs 100 on grocery and dining transactions and 3 BluChips per Rs 100 on IndiGo channel spends. The premium variant offers 7 BluChips per Rs 100 on IndiGo transactions, 3 BluChips per Rs 100 on hotel and grocery spends and 2 BluChips per Rs 100 on other eligible categories.
Both cards include joining, renewal and milestone based reward vouchers. The premium version carries a reduced foreign exchange markup of 2.5 percent on international transactions and provides access to both domestic and international airport lounges. The standard variant offers domestic lounge access and accelerated earnings on UPI transactions. Lifestyle privileges linked to the cards include benefits on BookMyShow and EazyDiner.
The cards will be available on RuPay and Visa networks.
Arnika Dixit, President and Head of Cards, Payments and Wealth Management at Axis Bank, said the partnership integrates banking and travel benefits in response to evolving consumer spending patterns. She said the structure aims to deliver differentiated value to both occasional travellers and frequent flyers.
Neetan Chopra, Chief Digital and Information Officer at IndiGo, said the co branded cards convert everyday spending into IndiGo BluChips and extend the airline’s loyalty framework beyond ticket purchases. He said the initiative is intended to deepen engagement with frequent flyers.
Sohini Rajola, Executive Director at NPCI, said the issuance of the card on the RuPay network supports structured reward earning within India’s digital payment ecosystem.
Rishi Chhabra, Country Manager India at Visa, said consumers are increasingly seeking payment products that combine security with lifestyle and travel linked benefits.
