Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Devendra Fadnavis Lays Foundation Stone for Bajaj Finserv Campus in Pune

The 7.2 million square foot development will use AI and IoT to manage energy, water, occupancy and maintenance, while housing Pune’s tallest steel tower

Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri Devendra Fadnavis laid the foundation stone for the Bajaj Finserv Campus at Koregaon Park Annexe in Pune, a 7.2 million square foot development planned as the common corporate office for Bajaj Finserv and its financial services businesses.
The ceremony was attended by Sunetra Pawar, Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra; Manjusha Nagpure, Pune Mayor; and other state dignitaries.
Bajaj Finserv has designed the Campus with artificial intelligence and Internet of Things systems that will monitor weather, occupancy and environmental conditions and adjust building operations in response.

The development is set to house Pune’s tallest steel tower and India’s largest single location financial services office, according to Bajaj Finserv.
It will bring the company’s businesses spanning lending, deposits, payments, insurance and investments together at a common address for the first time.
Speaking at the ceremony, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra Shri Devendra Fadnavis highlighted the Bajaj family’s association with the state and the role of Bajaj Finserv in the financial services sector.

“The Bajaj Finserv Campus will not only be the largest but also the most intelligent and sustainable ecosystem in the country. As fintech becomes increasingly central to Pune, I congratulate Sanjiv Bajaj for choosing to build the country’s largest Campus here, further cementing Maharashtra’s position in fintech,” Shri Devendra Fadnavis said.
Technology will form the foundation of the Campus, alongside its focus on sustainability, environmental design and employee wellbeing.
AI and IoT systems will monitor energy and water consumption, crowd density and movement. IoT sensors will also monitor critical infrastructure to identify maintenance requirements, while automation and robotics are planned for Campus operations.

Sanjiv Bajaj, Chairman & Managing Director, Bajaj Finserv, said environmental responsibility and inclusion are central to the project.
“Just as we have worked to bring millions of first-time borrowers into the formal financial system, we are equally committed to being responsible custodians of the environment. Sustainability and inclusion are two sides of the same commitment to a better India, and the Bajaj Finserv Campus will be an expression of that belief,” Sanjiv Bajaj said.
“Built to global LEED and IGBC standards, the Campus will combine eco-efficient and biophilic designs with AI-driven systems and operateentirely on renewable energy. While futuristic, we want it to be unmistakably Indian, bringing together art and heritage from across the country, including lost art forms. Above all, it is being designed around the health and wellbeing of our people. The Campus will be a testament to a tech-ready future and to India’s growing financial and technological strength,” he added.

The Campus is planned to operate entirely on renewable energy and target 80% water recycling, rainwater harvesting and zero waste.
These measures will support Bajaj Finserv’s stated target of achieving carbon neutrality for Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by FY2032.
The design will seek to increase natural breeze and daylight while reducing cooling requirements. Green areas will include rare Ayurvedic gardens, Miyawaki forests and replanted native forests, with native species from Maharashtra incorporated into the development.
Air quality and temperature will be monitored at floor and cluster levels as part of the Campus approach to employee wellbeing.

Employees will also have access to the Bajaj One Employee App for facilities including navigation, parking and bookings.
An integrated medical centre will provide telemedicine and emergency response services, alongside dedicated wellness support.
Indian art and craft traditions, including existing and lost art forms, will also form part of the Campus design. Elements connected with Bajaj Finserv’s Corporate Social Responsibility programmes and contributions from beneficiaries are planned for inclusion.
