The facility, inaugurated by Piyush Singh, Vice President, Thyrocare Technologies Limited, becomes the company’s third laboratory in Andhra Pradesh. Rahul Guha, MD and CEO, API Holdings & Thyrocare Technologies Limited, and Rajdeep Panwar, Chief Commercial Officer, Thyrocare Technologies Limited, outline plans to improve access to affordable testing and timely reporting.
Thyrocare Technologies Limited (NSE: THYROCARE, BSE: 539871) has opened a diagnostic laboratory in Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, in collaboration with Ameelio Healthcare Private Limited. The facility marks Thyrocare’s third laboratory in the state and is intended to improve access to diagnostic services for patients and healthcare providers in Kurnool and neighbouring areas.
The laboratory was inaugurated by Piyush Singh, Vice President, Thyrocare Technologies Limited.
The new facility is equipped to conduct routine and specialised diagnostic tests, with trained professionals supporting laboratory operations. According to the company, the expansion is intended to improve sample processing and the delivery of diagnostic reports for patients and healthcare partners.
The collaboration with Ameelio Healthcare Private Limited will support Thyrocare’s operations in Kurnool and extend its diagnostic services to communities outside major metropolitan centres.
The company said the facility forms part of its wider plan to expand diagnostic infrastructure across emerging healthcare markets while maintaining a focus on affordability, testing standards and accessibility.
Rahul Guha, MD and CEO, API Holdings & Thyrocare Technologies Limited, said, “At Thyrocare, we believe access to reliable diagnostics should not be limited by geography. The launch of our laboratory in Kurnool, in collaboration with Ameelio Healthcare Private Limited, is an important step towards bringing quality diagnostic services closer to more communities. As we expand our network, we remain focused on making testing affordable and accessible while supporting the growing diagnostic needs of patients and healthcare partners.”
The Kurnool laboratory is expected to serve local healthcare requirements through a combination of routine investigations and specialised testing services.
Its operations will also support healthcare partners seeking laboratory testing services for patients in the surrounding region.
Rajdeep Panwar, Chief Commercial Officer, Thyrocare Technologies Limited, said, “Our expansion into Kurnool reflects our continued effort to build a stronger diagnostic network across emerging markets. Our association with Ameelio Healthcare Private Limited will help us serve the region more effectively and improve access to dependable testing services. We will continue to focus on consistent quality standards, timely reporting and affordability as we extend our reach to more patients and healthcare partners.”
Thyrocare’s expansion in Andhra Pradesh reflects its stated objective of developing diagnostic infrastructure beyond large urban markets.
The company operates a network of laboratories across India and provides diagnostic testing services to laboratories, hospitals and other healthcare partners.
According to the company, its quarterly active franchise network exceeds 10,000, and it processed more than 53.3 million diagnostic and screening investigations during the second quarter of financial year 2026.
Thyrocare also reports a history of laboratory quality certifications and accreditations. It received ISO 9001:2000 certification in 2001, subsequently upgraded to ISO 9001:2015, and obtained National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL) and College of American Pathologists (CAP) accreditations in 2005.
These credentials form part of the company’s broader laboratory operations and do not, by themselves, establish the accreditation status of the newly opened Kurnool facility.
With the addition of the Kurnool laboratory, Thyrocare and Ameelio Healthcare aim to improve the availability of diagnostic testing in the region while supporting the needs of patients, hospitals and local healthcare providers.
