Over 10,000 Women Join Pinkathon Day 2026 Across 65 Cities in Three Countries
More than 10,000 women participated in the fourth edition of Pinkathon Day across 168 locations in 65 cities and three countries. Supported by Mutual Funds Sahi Hai, the event connected women’s fitness with financial awareness.

The fourth edition brought participants together at 168 locations across India, Bangladesh and the Netherlands for a 3 km run. Milind Soman, Founder of Pinkathon, and Venkat N. Chalasani, Chief Executive, Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI), highlighted the importance of physical fitness and financial awareness, with Mutual Funds Sahi Hai as Title Partner.

More than 10,000 women participated in the fourth edition of Pinkathon Day, held across 168 locations in 65 cities spanning India, Bangladesh and the Netherlands. The initiative brought together women of different ages and fitness levels to encourage regular physical activity and greater awareness of personal well-being.
In Hyderabad, participants gathered for a 3 km run that began at 6:00 AM. Organised by Pinkathon, a women’s running movement founded by Milind Soman, the event encouraged participants to make fitness part of their daily routines.
Mutual Funds Sahi Hai joined the fourth edition as Title Partner, connecting the event’s focus on physical health with conversations about financial awareness and long term planning.

The initiative extended beyond individual participation, with families joining women at several locations. One of the participants was a 96 year old woman who took part alongside her family, reflecting the event’s emphasis on fitness across generations.
Pinkathon Day was conducted with the support of local ambassadors, volunteers and running communities who coordinated participation across different locations.
The widespread involvement of these groups contributed to the event’s objective of encouraging women to begin exercising and maintain active lifestyles beyond organised running events.

Physical Fitness and Financial Awareness
The partnership with Mutual Funds Sahi Hai introduced financial awareness as an additional aspect of women’s overall well-being.
The association aimed to encourage women to understand financial planning, make informed investment decisions and take a more active role in managing their financial futures.
Venkat N. Chalasani, Chief Executive, Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI), said, “Through our association with Pinkathon Day, we aim to encourage women to take an active role in managing their finances and securing their financial future. Just as regular physical activity contributes to long-term health, informed financial decisions and disciplined investing can help build financial resilience and enable women to pursue their long-term goals with confidence.”

He also highlighted the importance of financial knowledge and participation in improving women’s financial security.
“With participants coming together across 168 locations in 65 cities and three countries, Pinkathon Day provides a valuable platform to connect women’s physical well-being with financial awareness. At AMFI, we believe that financial inclusion goes beyond access to financial products; it is about equipping women with the knowledge, confidence and opportunity to make informed financial decisions, participate meaningfully in the financial system and work towards greater financial security and independence.”
The partnership positioned financial literacy alongside physical fitness as part of a broader conversation about women’s independence and long term preparedness.

Community Participation Across Three Countries
Pinkathon Founder Milind Soman attributed the event’s participation to the efforts of local running groups, volunteers and ambassadors.
“Every edition of Pinkathon Day is an opportunity to see how local communities can come together around a shared goal. The participation across cities reflects the efforts of our ambassadors, volunteers and running groups who encourage women to take that first step towards fitness. What matters now is for participants to carry this momentum into their everyday lives and find ways to stay active beyond the event. Building a healthier lifestyle is a continuous journey, and we hope Pinkathon Day inspires more women to make it a priority.”
The fourth edition continued Pinkathon’s focus on making running and physical activity accessible to women regardless of age or previous fitness experience.
Pinkathon is an initiative of the United Sisters Foundation and is promoted by Maximus MICE & Media Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
The movement also raises awareness about breast cancer and other women’s health concerns while encouraging women to prioritise their physical, mental and emotional well-being.
AMFI, incorporated on August 22, 1995, is a nonprofit organisation representing asset management companies registered with the Securities and Exchange Board of India.
Through its association with Pinkathon Day, Mutual Funds Sahi Hai supported conversations about financial knowledge and planning alongside the event’s emphasis on healthier lifestyles.
The fourth edition concluded with participation from more than 10,000 women across three countries, reflecting Pinkathon’s continued efforts to develop local running communities and encourage regular physical activity.
