Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar, Founder, Akshar Yoga Kendraa, says the Yoga Certification Board, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India accreditation reinforces the institution’s focus on traditional yogic knowledge, structured education and teacher training after reaching more than 20 million practitioners across over 80 countries.
More than two decades of yoga education, professional training and international outreach have led to Akshar Yoga Kendraa receiving accreditation as a Leading Yoga Institution from the Yoga Certification Board, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.
According to Akshar Yoga Kendraa, the recognition represents the highest category of institutional accreditation under the Yoga Certification Board framework and considers areas including institutional legacy, scale, infrastructure, academic systems and sustained contribution to yoga education.
The accreditation follows more than 20 years of work by Akshar Yoga Kendraa under the guidance of its founder, Himalayan Siddhaa Akshar. The institution’s approach combines traditional yogic knowledge with structured learning for practitioners and professionals.
Its programmes cover Asana, Pranayama, Meditation, Mudra, Yoga philosophy, alignment, teaching methodology, wellness and advanced yogic practices.
Akshar Yoga Kendraa states that its initiatives have reached more than 20 million students and practitioners across over 80 countries. It also reports having trained more than 50,000 yoga teachers through its educational programmes.
The institution has recorded 42 Guinness World Records in Yoga through its training and outreach activities. Its programmes have involved students, athletes, educators, corporate professionals, police and defence personnel, senior citizens, specially abled individuals and international practitioners.

Under its Leading Yoga Institution accreditation, Akshar Yoga Kendraa is authorised to conduct training across multiple categories recognised by the Yoga Certification Board, subject to applicable YCB guidelines.
These include Yoga Volunteer, Yoga Protocol Instructor, Yoga Wellness Instructor, Yoga Teacher and Evaluator, Yoga Master, Assistant Yoga Therapist, Yoga Therapist, Therapeutic Yoga Consultant, Yogasana Coach and school level yoga teacher programmes.
The institution is also authorised to assess eligible candidates enrolled in its training programmes under the prescribed YCB framework.
Its scope extends to professional development activities such as Continuing Yoga Education programmes, workshops, seminars and conferences.
Akshar Yoga Kendraa plans to use the accreditation to expand its development of qualified yoga professionals and pursue collaborations with schools, universities, corporations, government bodies, sports institutions and international wellness organisations.
The institution is also expanding its international activities, including initiatives focused on Japan and Australia, while continuing its teacher training and wellness programmes in India.
