Professor Cédric Denis-Rémis joins the Executive Committee of ESCP Business School as Executive Vice President for Executive Education and Corporate Relations and Dean of the ESCP School of Technology, reporting to Executive President and Dean Léon Laulusa.
Paris, March 6, 2026: ESCP Business School has expanded its leadership structure with the appointment of Professor Cédric Denis-Rémis as Executive Vice President for Executive Education and Corporate Relations and Dean of the ESCP School of Technology. The appointment became effective on February 23, with Denis-Rémis joining the institution’s Executive Committee and reporting to Professor Léon Laulusa, Executive President and Dean of ESCP Business School.
Cédric Denis-Rémis is a graduate of École des Mines de Paris and holds a PhD as well as a Habilitation to Supervise Direct Research. His professional career has developed at the intersection of technological innovation, entrepreneurship and higher education leadership.
Before joining ESCP, Denis-Rémis served as Vice President of PSL University, where he oversaw development, innovation, entrepreneurship and Executive Education initiatives. Earlier, as Deputy Director of Mines Paris–PSL, he founded and directed the Institute of Higher Education in Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
Denis-Rémis has also led several international academic collaborations. In China, he served as European Executive Director of the China EU Institute for Clean and Renewable Energy and later as Dean of the Shanghai JiaoTong ParisTech Institute of Technology.
His work has extended into technology strategy and defence innovation. He previously led the Red Team Defence programme for the French Ministry of the Armed Forces. In 2018 he created the Specialised Master’s programme in DeepTech Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Mines Paris–PSL and helped develop two investment funds between PSL and venture capital firm Elaia that have invested in more than forty deep technology companies.
An author of around sixty academic publications, Denis-Rémis focuses his research on the relationship between risk management and innovation management. He is also co founder of Zénon, a think tank dedicated to climate technologies, and serves as a member of the French Defence Procurement Council.
Professor Léon Laulusa, Executive President and Dean of ESCP Business School, said the appointment supports the institution’s strategic direction. “In a context where technologies are profoundly transforming business models and skills, we need leaders capable of bridging innovation, academic excellence and the corporate world. The appointment of Cédric Denis-Rémis fully aligns with this ambition and will contribute to the implementation of our Bold and United strategic plan.”
Cédric Denis-Rémis said the convergence of management and technology is increasingly shaping leadership education. “Throughout my career I have worked at the interface between technology, academia and industry. Joining ESCP means contributing to a European academic project that places this convergence at the centre of its development.”
The ESCP School of Technology is expected to welcome its first cohort of students in September 2027. The new school will focus on developing leaders with expertise across technological innovation, strategic thinking and managerial responsibility.
The initiative forms part of ESCP’s Bold and United strategic plan for 2026 to 2030, which also includes the planned creation of the ESCP School of Governance in 2029 as the institution continues its ambition to establish itself as a European university of management by 2030.
