Sumit Sureka Elected CLFMA of India Chairman for 2026 to 2028 Term

The Managing Director of Shivshakti Agro (India) Pvt. Ltd. and Amrit Breeder Farms Pvt. Ltd. brings more than 30 years of experience in animal nutrition and poultry, following six years as Deputy Chairman of CLFMA of India.

CLFMA of India, the apex industry body representing the livestock feed and allied sectors, has elected Sumit Sureka as its Chairman for the 2026 to 2028 term.
Sureka brings more than three decades of experience in animal feed, poultry and related agricultural businesses. His appointment follows six years of service as Deputy Chairman of CLFMA of India, during which he was involved in the organisation’s activities and engagement with the livestock and feed industry.
He currently serves as Managing Director of Shivshakti Agro (India) Pvt. Ltd. and Amrit Breeder Farms Pvt. Ltd. He is also a Director of Impressico Business Solutions Pvt. Ltd.

His professional experience covers several areas of animal agriculture, including poultry, dairy, aquaculture and piggery nutrition. He has also worked across poultry breeding, hatchery operations and broiler integration.
Alongside his operational responsibilities, Sureka has experience in management, finance and business strategy, giving him exposure to both the commercial and technical aspects of the animal nutrition industry.
His involvement in industry organisations extends beyond CLFMA of India. He also serves as Vice President of the West Bengal Poultry Federation.
Sureka is an alumnus of London Business School and Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi.
His election comes as India’s livestock and feed sectors face changing market conditions, input related challenges, technological developments and evolving expectations among farmers.

These developments have increased the importance of communication between industry stakeholders, particularly businesses operating across animal nutrition, livestock production and allied services.
The 2026 to 2028 term presents an opportunity for CLFMA of India to continue industry discussions on these issues and encourage cooperation among organisations working across the livestock feed sector.
Sureka’s experience in poultry breeding, feed nutrition, hatchery management and broiler integration provides him with an understanding of different stages of livestock and poultry operations.
His six years as Deputy Chairman also provide continuity in the organisation’s leadership as he assumes the position of Chairman.
