2,000 Karnataka Youth to Receive AI Training Through Samsung Innovation Campus 2026

Higher Education Minister Basavaraj Rayareddy and Samsung’s Shubham Mukherjee highlighted industry relevant skills as the programme targets 20,000 young people across 10 states

Samsung India has launched Samsung Innovation Campus 2026 in Karnataka with plans to train 2,000 young people in Artificial Intelligence skills through practical learning, mentoring and industry relevant education.
The programme was launched in the presence of Basavaraj Rayareddy, Minister for Higher Education, Government of Karnataka, at the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Industry and Commerce. Senior academicians from Nrupathunga University, Bengaluru, also attended the launch.
Samsung Innovation Campus is being conducted in Karnataka in partnership with Nrupathunga University. According to information supplied by the company, the programme has trained more than 3,000 people in the state to date.

The programme is aimed at participants between the ages of 18 and 25 and focuses on practical AI education that can be applied to technology related challenges and career opportunities.
The Karnataka initiative forms part of Samsung’s broader plan to train 20,000 young people across 10 states through Samsung Innovation Campus 2026.

Basavaraj Rayareddy, Minister for Higher Education, Government of Karnataka, said, “With Artificial Intelligence transforming industries and creating new opportunities, developing a strong pool of skilled young talent will be critical to Karnataka’s continued leadership in technology and innovation. Samsung Innovation Campus complements the state’s efforts to build an AI-native ecosystem by giving youth access to practical, industry-relevant learning. Such collaborations between academia and industry can equip our students with the capabilities they need to participate meaningfully in the opportunities being created by emerging technologies.”
Samsung Innovation Campus 2026 is being implemented in collaboration with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India and the Telecom Sector Skill Council.

The programme covers AI and Generative AI through structured education, practical applications and mentorship.
According to the supplied information, Samsung Innovation Campus trained more than 20,000 participants across India in 2025. Women accounted for 48 per cent of participants during the year.
Now in its fourth year in India, Samsung Innovation Campus forms part of the company’s education and youth skilling activities.
The company also operates Samsung Solve for Tomorrow, which focuses on helping young people develop solutions to practical challenges, and Samsung DOST, which provides skills related to sales and technical service roles.
The Karnataka programme adds another 2,000 planned participants to Samsung’s AI skilling activities as the company expands Samsung Innovation Campus across 10 states in 2026.
