Visakhapatnam, February 22, 2026: Apollo Pharmacy has expanded its retail healthcare presence in Andhra Pradesh, reaching 1,000 stores across the state, marking a significant milestone in its regional growth strategy.
The landmark outlet in Visakhapatnam was inaugurated by Dr Shankhabrata Bagchi, IPS, Commissioner of Police and Additional District Magistrate, Visakhapatnam, in the presence of P Jayakumar, CEO – Apollo Pharmacy, and Balamurugan, COO – Apollo Pharmacy.
With operations now covering 15 districts, Apollo Pharmacy employs more than 7,000 people in Andhra Pradesh and provides access to over 50,000 genuine medicines and wellness products. Several stores operate round-the-clock, while quick home delivery services are available across districts to strengthen access to essential healthcare supplies.
Dr Shankhabrata Bagchi noted that reliable access to authentic medicines is central to public health infrastructure and acknowledged the company’s growing contribution to community healthcare access.
P Jayakumar said the 1,000-store milestone reflects Apollo Pharmacy’s continued commitment to bringing affordable and genuine medicines closer to residential communities. He added that the company plans to open more than 150 additional stores across Andhra Pradesh over the next two years, further strengthening last-mile healthcare availability.
Through its omnichannel platform, Apollo 24/7, customers can also access teleconsultations, diagnostic services, and insurance support alongside medicine delivery, integrating physical retail with digital healthcare services.
Apollo HealthCo currently operates over 7,100 pharmacy stores nationwide and serves more than 19,000 pincodes. Its digital platform facilitates approximately 100,000 daily medicine deliveries, 450,000 monthly doctor consultations, and 150,000 monthly diagnostic bookings.
