Financial literacy and fitness converge at MMRDA Ground as investors, corporates and citizens run for health and wealth
Mumbai, February 22, 2026: Sunday morning in Bandra Kurla Complex saw capital markets and cardiovascular fitness share the same track as the sixth edition of the Zee Business BSE Bull Run drew large participation at the MMRDA Ground.
The initiative, positioned at the intersection of financial awareness and physical discipline, brought together investors, corporates, policymakers and fitness enthusiasts in a format that mirrors the long-term principles of wealth creation.
Participants competed across 5 km and 10 km Fun Runs, alongside a competitive 10 km Elite category. The early hours featured high-energy warm-ups, including Zumba sessions and an unconventional Bhajan Clubbing segment, blending devotional rhythm with endurance preparation.
Several prominent leaders attended the event, including Sundararaman Ramamurthy, MD & CEO, BSE; Raktim Das, CEO, Zee Media Corporation Limited; Anil Singhvi, Managing Editor, Zee Business; senior representatives from market institutions and corporate India; and officials from Maharashtra Police.
Sundararaman Ramamurthy said the platform reflects a broader national aspiration linking financial participation with lifestyle transformation. He noted that as India’s capital markets deepen household participation, initiatives such as the Bull Run symbolise the alignment of economic opportunity with personal well-being.
Raktim Das described the run as a metaphor for disciplined investing, emphasising consistency, resilience and long-term commitment. Anil Singhvi added that the principles required to build strong portfolios are closely aligned with those required to maintain physical fitness — sustained effort, focus and patience.
Over six editions, the event has evolved beyond a fitness run into a symbolic convergence of markets and movement. Its continued association with BSE reinforces its positioning within India’s financial ecosystem while expanding outreach beyond traditional investor forums.
As participation in both fitness movements and retail investing rises across India, the Bull Run continues to frame prosperity not merely as financial accumulation, but as a balance between health and wealth.
