Advanced Steelmaking at Jai Raj Ispat Powers New ATOOT Fe 550 D Infrastructure Bars

New Delhi, March 06, 2026: Jai Raj Ispat Limited has introduced its new ATOOT Fe 550 D grade TMT bars, developed using advanced steelmaking processes designed to support modern infrastructure and residential construction.
The new bars are produced at the company’s Kurnool manufacturing facility using Italian Endless Casting and Rolling technology. The process is designed to enhance the strength, ductility and reliability of reinforcement steel used in construction, particularly in structures that require higher resistance to seismic activity.

Jai Raj Ispat Limited is among the few primary steel manufacturers in Andhra Pradesh operating a plant based on an advanced steelmaking route. The facility currently has an installed capacity of 0.50 million tonnes per annum, with plans to double production capacity by the financial year 2026 to 2027.
The Kurnool plant uses a production process that includes blast furnace operations, an energy optimising furnace, ladle refining furnace and endless casting. Virgin iron ore and coke are used as primary raw materials to ensure consistent steel quality.

The ATOOT ANDHRA launch event served as the official platform to introduce the Fe 550 D TMT bars to authorised distributors and leading dealers across Andhra Pradesh. Attendees were given an overview of the manufacturing process and the technological capabilities that support the production of the new reinforcement bars.
The programme also included the unveiling of the product and the first round of dealer bookings. Distributors and dealers expressed confidence in the product’s potential to support infrastructure development and housing construction across the region.

Rajshree Jain, Director of Jai Raj Ispat Limited, said the product reflects the growing demand for advanced steel solutions as India continues its infrastructure expansion.

By adopting advanced Danieli ECR technology at our Kurnool facility we are able to manufacture reinforcement bars designed for strength, ductility and reliability,” said Rajshree Jain.
The company expects the Kurnool plant to play an important role in regional industrial development and aims to increase its annual revenue to approximately ₹5,000 crore within two years of operation.
