New Delhi, February 26, 2026: Selected villages in Samudrapur Taluka of Wardha district have been formally declared India’s first Completely Cervical Cancer Shielded villages following the completion of awareness drives and free HPV vaccination camps conducted under Mankind Pharma’s CSR initiative.
The milestone was achieved through Cancer Kavach, a preventive cervical cancer programme conceptualised and implemented by CSR partner Swastya Vriksh Foundation. The declaration ceremony brought together representatives from Mankind Pharma, Swastya Vriksh Foundation, district administration, healthcare professionals and community leaders. The event acknowledged coordinated efforts to expand vaccination coverage while building awareness and strengthening preventive healthcare systems at the grassroots level.

Vanmati C, District Collector, said, “This initiative reflects how coordinated efforts between public administration, healthcare teams, and responsible corporate partners can create meaningful impact at the community level. We remain committed to extending full administrative support to strengthen preventive healthcare outreach, particularly for women and adolescents in rural areas.”
