Dr B. S. Ajaikumar, Founder and Chairman of HealthCare Global Enterprises Ltd., calls for disciplined data tracking and evidence based oncology practice

Kolkata, February 11, 2026: HealthCare Global Enterprises Ltd. hosted a Continuing Medical Education programme in Kolkata titled Decoding the Future of Cancer Care Harnessing Next Generation Intelligence to Transform Patient Outcomes. The session was led by Dr B. S. Ajaikumar, Founder and Chairman, HCG, and attended by more than 400 doctors, including HCG clinicians and senior oncologists and specialists from across the region.
The programme focused on delivering appropriate treatment at the earliest stage through integration of clinical research, structured data and precision oncology. It included a keynote address by Dr Ajaikumar followed by a panel discussion examining the role of genomics, advanced diagnostics and outcomes measurement systems in shaping cancer treatment pathways.

Speaking at the CME, Dr B. S. Ajaikumar said, “As oncology continues to evolve in complexity, the responsibility of leadership is to ensure that innovation is applied with clinical rigour and evaluated through outcomes. Delivering the right treatment, the first time, requires disciplined data collection, longitudinal outcome tracking, and evidence-based, multidisciplinary decision-making. Platforms such as this CME enable informed clinical dialogue and collective learning, while reinforcing a research-led, data-driven approach reflected in our peer-reviewed publications and international scientific presentations that strengthens consistent, outcomes-led cancer care for the benefit of patients.”

During his address, Dr Ajaikumar highlighted the importance of understanding cancer biology, disease progression and treatment response over time in reducing recurrence. He noted that structured research and systematic outcome tracking contribute to refining treatment strategies.
Discussions during the programme addressed reducing diagnostic delays, optimising therapeutic choices and ensuring evidence based interventions. Sessions covered developments in targeted therapies and immunotherapy, the integration of genomics into routine decision making, emerging disease patterns and the use of advanced diagnostics and AI enabled tools, as well as strengthening outcomes registries.

Dr Manish Mattoo, CEO and Executive Director, HealthCare Global Enterprises Ltd., said, “The future of oncology lies in building systems that consistently support the right treatment decisions at the right time. At HCG, we are focused on integrating research, data, and technology into care delivery to improve predictability, efficiency, and outcomes across the cancer care continuum. Knowledge-sharing forums such as this CME are critical enablers of that transformation.”
Dr Rupali Basu, Regional Business Head East and AP, HCG, said, “Eastern and North-Eastern India are witnessing evolving cancer trends and a growing need for advanced, accessible oncology care. Through focused knowledge exchange, clinical collaboration, and future-ready infrastructure, including Outreach Centres, we are working to ensure patients receive high-quality cancer care closer to home.”

The CME included case based discussions from multidisciplinary care pathways and deliberations on access to advanced testing, inter specialty coordination and clinician training for interpreting complex genomic data. The programme concluded with an interactive session involving specialists from Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Surgical Oncology, General Surgery, General Medicine, Urology, Nephrology, ENT and Maxillofacial Surgery.
