Raj Sharma, Business Head, Cosmo Speciality Chemicals, details CosmoWhite and CosmoAdd formulations designed for PP and PE applications across BOPP, CPP and blown film segments
Mumbai, 27 February 2026: Cosmo Speciality Chemicals, a subsidiary of Cosmo First Limited, has expanded its specialty chemicals vertical with new masterbatch formulations focused on white opacity enhancement and additive engineering for polymer applications.
At the core of the development is CosmoWhite, a portfolio of advanced white masterbatches formulated for polypropylene and polyethylene. Developed using high concentrations of Titanium Dioxide, the range is engineered to deliver opacity, brightness, UV protection and thermal stability across demanding applications such as BOPP films, blown films, extrusion coating, injection moulding, non wovens, raffia and pail containers.
Alongside this, the company has introduced CosmoAdd, a complementary additive masterbatch portfolio designed to address processing efficiency and end use performance. The range supports flexible packaging applications including BOPP, CPP and blown films and includes cavitating agents, antiblock additives, antistatic and slip additives, polymer processing aids including PFAS free variants, antioxidants, clarifiers, matt compounds and synthetic paper solutions.
Raj Sharma, Business Head, Cosmo Speciality Chemicals, said, “Our expanded masterbatch portfolio reflects our focus on innovation led specialty solutions. We remain committed to delivering application specific masterbatches that enhance functionality and aesthetics across polymer and packaging applications.”
The move aligns with Cosmo First’s strategy to scale its specialty chemicals vertical alongside its specialty films business. Established in FY21, the division operates with dedicated research and development capabilities and continues to expand its presence in external markets.
With CosmoWhite and CosmoAdd, Cosmo Speciality Chemicals broadens its portfolio of engineered masterbatch solutions tailored for modern polymer processing and packaging requirements.
