Hurun India confers the Industry Achievement Award 2025-26 on B. G. Bangur, Chairman Emeritus of Shree Cement Limited, at India’s Most Respected Entrepreneurs Awards

Presented at India’s Most Respected Entrepreneurs Awards, the recognition acknowledges long term leadership anchored in operational discipline, capital prudence and structured expansion.
Under B. G. Bangur’s stewardship, Shree Cement Limited has evolved into one of India’s leading cement manufacturers, guided by measured growth and efficiency driven execution. The company today operates with an installed cement capacity of approximately 69 million tonnes per annum across India and overseas markets.

Over the past year, Shree Cement Limited advanced its growth agenda while improving operational efficiency and supply chain responsiveness across its integrated and grinding units.
Sustainability continues to remain central to the company’s strategy. More than 60 percent of its electricity requirements are met through renewable sources, supported by an installed renewable energy capacity exceeding 630 MW. Solar, wind and waste heat recovery systems are integrated across operations to strengthen energy resilience and environmental performance.
