Dr Abhay Saraf, Director, DPU School of Allied Health Sciences, and Dr Biranchi Jena, Director, Adiuvaret Research & Education Foundation, detail plans to integrate allied health training with community outreach, skill development and public health research

India, 5 February 2026: DPU School of Allied Health Sciences at D.Y. Patil University and Adiuvaret Research & Education Foundation have announced a strategic collaboration aimed at strengthening healthcare skill development, interdisciplinary public health research and community health outreach.
The partnership brings together DPU’s academic capacity in allied health sciences with AREF’s experience in healthcare management learning, curriculum development and education support systems. The two organisations said the collaboration will focus on structured skill development in public health and biomedical research, interdisciplinary learning modules linked to community health, and applied models designed to meet the needs of students, educators and communities.

Dr Abhay Saraf, Director, DPU School of Allied Health Sciences, said the partnership is intended to connect classroom learning more closely with real-world healthcare requirements. He said the collaboration will work on skill-building systems, research activity with practical relevance and community outreach programmes that allow students to engage beyond campus settings.
Dr Biranchi Jena, Director, Adiuvaret Research & Education Foundation, said working with DPU creates an opportunity to combine applied health education experience with academic training. He said the partnership will focus on co-creating programmes, resources and learning pathways that improve student readiness and support long-term community outcomes.

The collaboration will also explore joint programmes, research initiatives, field training, community engagement activities and development of educational tools and materials. The two institutions said the partnership is expected to serve as a model for future academic and sector collaborations in healthcare education in India.
