₹125 Crore in Scholarships Secured by StudyIn Students Across Seven Global Education Destinations

Lakshmi Iyer, Chief Client Officer and Chair, StudyIn India, said the consultancy is seeing Indian students look beyond traditional destinations as scholarship opportunities expand across Europe and Asia.

Indian students supported by StudyIn secured scholarships worth approximately ₹125 crore for the September 2025 and January 2026 intakes, spanning seven international study destinations.
The scholarships were secured by visa-approved students pursuing higher education in the UK, Ireland, UAE, Australia, New Zealand, USA and Canada.
The United Kingdom accounted for the largest share, with StudyIn’s India Direct students receiving scholarships worth more than £9 million, stated in the release as approximately ₹90 crore or USD 12 million.
Across Ireland, UAE, Australia, New Zealand, USA and Canada, along with the UK, the combined scholarship pool was stated at nearly £10 million.

Individual awards secured by StudyIn-supported students reached up to £15,000. Several students also received merit-based scholarships ranging between £5,000 and £10,000, including full and partial tuition fee waivers.
The scholarship activity comes alongside a wider change in the destinations being considered by Indian students.
While the UK remains the leading destination among StudyIn’s scholarship recipients, the consultancy said it is seeing increasing interest in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan and South Korea.
The shift is being influenced by considerations including affordability, visa policies, post-study work opportunities and career prospects.

StudyIn said it is supporting students in identifying scholarship opportunities across these emerging study destinations in addition to its established markets.
The consultancy works with students on university selection, applications, scholarship opportunities and visa guidance, with financial support becoming an increasingly important part of overseas education planning.
Lakshmi Iyer, Chief Client Officer and Chair, StudyIn India, said the organisation has been working in international higher education since 2006 and currently operates more than 100 branches across over 35 countries.
She said StudyIn has assisted more than 1.3 million students globally and works with over 500 academic institution partners across major international education destinations.

The consultancy provides guidance covering university selection, applications, scholarships, education financing and visa processes.
As Indian students consider a wider range of countries for higher education, the availability of scholarships and other financial support is becoming part of the decision-making process alongside tuition costs, career prospects and opportunities to remain and work after graduation.
