20,000 Young Indians to Receive AI Training as Samsung Innovation Campus Returns for 2026

Samsung India will work with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India and Telecom Sector Skill Council to deliver practical AI education across 10 states, as JB Park, President and CEO, Samsung South West Asia, points to accessible skills development as central to India’s AI ambitions.

India’s ambitions in artificial intelligence will depend not only on technology and infrastructure, but also on how quickly young people can acquire the skills needed to work with it. Samsung India is addressing this talent requirement through the 2026 edition of Samsung Innovation Campus, with plans to train 20,000 young people in artificial intelligence across 10 states.
The programme will be implemented in collaboration with the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India and the Telecom Sector Skill Council. The focus will be on making industry relevant AI education available to young Indians while preparing participants for employment opportunities in a rapidly developing area of technology.

Now in its fourth year in India, Samsung Innovation Campus is open to young people aged between 18 and 25. Participants will receive practical AI training supported by project based learning, mentorship and exposure to real world applications.
The programme also goes beyond technical instruction. Problem solving, critical thinking and collaboration form part of the learning process, with participants expected to develop practical AI solutions while building skills relevant to future careers.
The scale of the 2026 edition comes as artificial intelligence finds applications across healthcare, manufacturing, education and everyday services. As these applications expand, the availability of trained professionals will become increasingly important for organisations looking to adopt and develop AI based technologies.

Realising that opportunity will require sustained investment in developing the right skills, encouraging innovation and making AI education more accessible to every aspiring learner, regardless of where they come from.”
He added that Samsung Innovation Campus is intended to help young Indians gain the knowledge and practical experience required to participate in India’s technology sector.

The 2026 programme builds on Samsung Innovation Campus’s existing footprint in the country. Launched in India in 2022, the initiative has trained more than 26,500 young people in emerging technologies. In 2025, women accounted for 48 per cent of participants, indicating a substantial presence of women learners within the programme.
The new target of 20,000 AI learners also places greater emphasis specifically on artificial intelligence skills at a time when career requirements across industries are changing alongside wider adoption of the technology.

Samsung Innovation Campus forms part of the company’s broader skilling and innovation activities in India. Samsung also runs Solve for Tomorrow for young innovators and entrepreneurs, while Samsung DOST focuses on preparing candidates for sales and technical service roles.
The latest edition arrives as Samsung marks 30 years in India. For the 20,000 young people expected to participate this year, however, the more immediate outcome will be access to practical AI education, mentorship and project experience that can help translate a fast developing technology into career skills
