Birla Global University has launched Eastern India's first two year MBA in Business Analytics programme in partnership with KPMG in India while commencing the 2026 to 2028 MBA academic session with a focus on experiential learning and industry engagement.

With the new programme becoming Eastern India’s first two year MBA in Business Analytics to be co designed and co delivered with KPMG in India, Birla Global University commenced the 2026 to 2028 MBA and inaugural MBA in Business Analytics batches.

Mumbai, 16 July 2026: Birla Global University hosted its Commencement Day ceremony for the 2026 to 2028 Master of Business Administration batch while formally welcoming the first cohort of its MBA in Business Analytics programme, developed in partnership with KPMG in India.
The university said the programme is the first two year MBA in Business Analytics in Eastern India to be co designed and co delivered with KPMG in India. The curriculum has been introduced to provide students with industry exposure and experiential learning alongside classroom education.

The commencement ceremony was attended by Gaurav Sharma, Senior Vice President, SolarSquare, as Chief Guest, and Narayanan Ramaswamy, Partner and National Leader, Education and Skill Development, KPMG in India, as Guest of Honour. They were joined by Prof. Kulbhushan Balooni, Vice Chancellor, Birla Global University, Prof. P. Nayak, Dean, Birla School of Management, Birla Global University, Tanmay Kumar Pattanayak, Registrar, Birla Global University, faculty members, alumni and students.
Addressing the incoming students, Gaurav Sharma said, “Every challenge is an opportunity to grow. My greatest lessons came from overcoming problems. Look beyond the obvious and keep learning.”

Narayanan Ramaswamy said, “Practical learning is different from textbook learning. Connect your experiences with your learning, embrace technology, stay curious, and pursue purpose driven work.”
Prof. Kulbhushan Balooni, Vice Chancellor, Birla Global University, said, “An institution is built collectively by its students, alumni, faculty and stakeholders. As you grow, the institution grows with you.”
Prof. P. Nayak, Dean, Birla School of Management, Birla Global University, said, “Stay focused on learning. Keep your abilities, attitude and actions right, and success will follow. We are here to support you throughout your journey.”

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Prof. Snigdha Mohapatra, Coordinator of the MBA programme.
As part of the induction process, the university will conduct a 15 day orientation and immersion programme beginning on 17 July to familiarise students with academic expectations, industry practices and campus life.
According to the university, the introduction of the MBA in Business Analytics programme reflects its focus on preparing students with industry relevant skills, practical exposure and knowledge required for evolving business environments.
