ICC’s Cricket 4 Good Engages 1,000 Children as All 20 Teams Extend T20 World Cup 2026 Impact Beyond the Boundary

Clinics across five venues in India and Sri Lanka included over 400 girls and more than 25 specially abled children in partnership with UNICEF

New Delhi, 25 February 2026: ICC’s Cricket 4 Good initiative concluded during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 after engaging more than 1,000 children across five venues in India and Sri Lanka. Delivered in partnership with UNICEF, the programme brought together players from all 20 participating teams and recorded participation from over 400 girls along with more than 25 specially abled children.
The final clinic was held at the R. Premadasa International Cricket Stadium in Colombo, where Sri Lanka players interacted with young participants in a closing session. The venue also hosted a session featuring Zimbabwe players who conducted interactive cricket activities. In Colombo, a separate clinic took place at the Sinhalese Sports Club Cricket Ground, where Ireland players engaged children through skill based drills and on field exercises.

In New Delhi, the Arun Jaitley Stadium hosted clinics involving players from South Africa, Canada and the UAE. Participants took part in cricket based activities and informal interactions with international players, offering them exposure to teamwork and confidence building experiences.
In Chennai, the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium hosted a Cricket 4 Good clinic with the Netherlands team, where specially abled children actively participated in structured cricket sessions. At Eden Gardens in Kolkata, young participants connected with the Scotland team through organised activities and on field engagement.

With representation from all 20 teams competing in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, Cricket 4 Good extended the tournament’s footprint beyond competitive fixtures. As the ICC’s global Corporate Social Responsibility initiative and umbrella programme for community outreach, Cricket 4 Good reflects the organisation’s commitment to the Spirit of Cricket and its vision of making cricket the world’s favourite sport. Delivered in partnership with UNICEF, the initiative works across key areas including nutrition and child development, water and sanitation, quality education, adolescent empowerment, child protection and child health.
