East India Gets Its First ASICS Running Club as ASICS Partners With Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata

Rajat Khurana, Managing Director, ASICS India & South Asia and Executive Officer, ASICS Corporation, and Vivek Singh, Joint Managing Director, Procam International, outline the partnership ahead of the December 20 race, with ASICS joining as Official Sports Goods Partner and introducing year round training for Kolkata runners.

Kolkata’s running community will get its first ASICS Running Club as ASICS begins its association with the Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata as the Official Sports Goods Partner.
The partnership marks ASICS’ first association with the World Athletics Gold Label 25K race and brings the ASICS Running Club, known as ARC, to East India for the first time.
Already active across several major Indian cities, ARC is the sportswear brand’s dedicated running community platform. It provides structured training programmes, group runs and coaching support for runners across different experience levels.

The Kolkata chapter is intended to provide runners with a regular platform for training and community interaction beyond participation in a single race.
The 11th edition of the Tata Steel World 25K Kolkata is scheduled for Sunday, December 20, 2026, and is expected to bring together thousands of runners.
As Official Sports Goods Partner, ASICS plans to engage with participants through promotional runs and a presence at the PLAYSCAPE Expo. The brand will also have the ASICS House on race day, while ASICS athletes and Running Club coaches will interact with runners during the event.
The association forms part of ASICS’ continued involvement in India’s running ecosystem as it participates in major running events and develops community programmes around the sport.
