AI and partnerships shape the agenda as Dish TV and C21Media bring Content India 2026 to Mumbai

The March 16 to 18 summit at Taj Lands’ End will bring together broadcasters, streamers, studios and digital first companies, with Manoj Dobhal, CEO and Executive Director, Dish TV India, saying the event comes at a crucial point for Indian content, IP growth and global collaboration.

Conversations around commissioning, co production, monetisation, intellectual property and artificial intelligence will take centre stage in Mumbai as Content India 2026 brings together key voices from across India’s entertainment business.
Organised by Dish TV in partnership with C21Media, the three day event will be held from March 16 to 18 at Taj Lands’ End, Mumbai. The summit is positioned as a meeting ground for broadcasters, streaming platforms, studios, production houses and digital first companies as the industry looks at new growth models, cross border partnerships and changing audience behaviour.

Manoj Dobhal, CEO and Executive Director, Dish TV India, said, “Indian content has reached a pivotal point in the global market. Among the key sessions is State of the Indian Entertainment Nation, which will examine the trends, challenges and opportunities shaping India’s content landscape. Speakers in that session include Shilangi Mukherji, Director and Head of SVOD Business, Prime Video, Anuj Gandhi, Chief Business Officer, Digital Entertainment Service, Reliance Jio, Deepak Dhar, Founder and Group CEO, Banijay Asia and Endemol Shine Asia, and Ashish Sehgal, CEO, Times TV Network.

The event will also host the Content India Co Pro Pitch, where early stage scripted and unscripted projects seeking global partnerships will be presented. One winning scripted project and one winning unscripted project will each receive a £10,000 marketing prize. The judging panel includes Frank Spotnitz, CEO and Founder, Big Light Productions, Fiona Campbell, Director of Factual, BBC Content, Rashmi Bajpai, EVP Asia, Banijay Rights, Bal Samra, Chairman, Big Deal Films, and Rachel Glaister, EVP International Brands and Press, All3Media International.
A separate session titled Content Strategies: What Indian Commissioners and Buyers Want will focus on commissioning priorities, evolving content slates and co production opportunities. Participants include Sahira Nair, Head of Hindi Scripted Series, Prime Video India, Rajaraman Sundaram, Chief Content Officer South, Sony Pictures Networks India, Sai Abishek, Head of Factual Entertainment, Warner Bros. Discovery South Asia, and Vishnu Mohta, Co founder, Hoichoi.

Production and financing will also be part of the agenda through Current Trends in Indian Production: Getting Your Show on Air. The discussion will feature Sunder Aaron, Managing Partner, Locomotive Global, Parveen Dusanj Bedi, Founder and MD, CreativeNation, Roopak Saluja, Founder, BANG BANG TV, Tarun Sawhney, President APAC, Shorts TV, and filmmaker Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury.
Artificial intelligence will be a major focus at the event through Using AI to Supercharge Your Shows in the New Content Economy. Speakers include Dipankar Mukherjee, CEO and Co founder, Studio Blo, Prateek Arora, VP of Development, BANG BANG TV, Anshul Vikram Pandey, Founder and Chairman, PanScience Group, Saiteja Alampally, Founder and CEO, One Immersive, and Vipul Agrawal, Founder and CEO, Mugafi. The summit will also include a fireside chat with Sameer Nair, Managing Director of Applause Entertainment, on Indian storytelling, intellectual property and AI led content creation.
