Abhishek Prasad, Director and CTO of Prasad, said the new Dolby Atmos and native 4K Christie equipped theatre is designed to help filmmakers experience their work with accuracy and consistency.

Prasad has launched a Premium Preview Theatre at its Hyderabad studio, adding a dedicated screening space to its post production and studio infrastructure. The facility is designed for directors, producers and creative teams to review edits, conduct internal screenings and host exclusive previews in a controlled theatre like environment.
The new preview space is part of Prasad’s phased infrastructure upgrade aimed at improving its end to end post production ecosystem. The theatre has been designed to support a key stage in the filmmaking process, where teams need to view content with technical accuracy before wider release or presentation.

The facility includes high quality projection, advanced sound capabilities, comfortable seating and an acoustically optimised environment. It features an immersive Dolby Atmos soundscape and a DCI compliant native 4K Christie digital cinema projection system. The space also includes a designed lobby and supporting amenities, making it suitable for preview screenings, private showcases, media interactions and curated industry events.
“This Preview Theatre is not just an addition to our infrastructure, but a space built around a crucial moment in the filmmaking journey. There comes a stage where a film needs to be experienced exactly as intended, and we wanted to create an environment that enables that with accuracy and consistency. As we continue to strengthen our ecosystem in phases, our focus remains on creating meaningful, high quality spaces that support filmmakers at every step of the process,” said Abhishek Prasad, Director and CTO, Prasad.

As part of the same infrastructure programme, Prasad has upgraded its dubbing facilities with multiple suites built for improved audio clarity and precision. These upgrades include refined acoustic environments, advanced recording systems and improved monitoring capabilities to support sound production.
The company is also planning further upgrades across key facilities as part of its long term plan to provide a seamless and future ready post production experience. In Chennai, Prasad continues to operate advanced post production capabilities, including one of the world’s largest HDR grading suites.
