Mr. Aamer Bijli, Lead Specialist, Innovation, Film Marketing & Digital Programming, PVR INOX Ltd, highlights a varied theatrical slate from October 9 to 15, 2026, featuring Other Mommy, Beware Boiúna, Afratafri, Linkin Park: Unshatter and multiple regional releases.

PVR INOX Limited is bringing horror, comedy, music documentaries and regional cinema to theatres in its weekly programming slate from October 9 to 15, 2026.
The lineup includes Other Mommy, Beware Boiúna, Marathi comedy Afratafri and music documentary Linkin Park: Unshatter, alongside films in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi and Punjabi.
Mr. Aamer Bijli, Lead Specialist, Innovation, Film Marketing & Digital Programming, PVR INOX Ltd, said, ““We had a great line-up last week and were encouraged by the strong audience response and excellent occupancy across our cinemas. This week, we are equally excited to bring audiences a varied mix of compelling stories and experiences. The Social Reckoning brings the makers of The Social Network back with another gripping story, while Other Mommy and Beware Boúina offer distinct takes on the horror and thriller genres. Afratafri adds a vibrant Marathi comedy to the mix, while Linkin Park: Unshatter offers fans an intimate look at one of rock music’s most recognisable bands. With such a diverse slate, we look forward to another exciting week and welcoming audiences across our cinemas.”

Other Mommy brings horror to the week’s programming. Directed by Rob Savage and produced by James Wan under the Atomic Monster and Blumhouse banners, the film is based on Josh Malerman’s novel Incidents Around the House, with a screenplay by Nathan Elston.
The story follows eight year old Bela, whose family life is already affected by her parents’ troubled marriage when a sinister presence begins appearing from her closet. Bela calls the entity Other Mommy because of its resemblance to her mother. Its repeated request to enter Bela’s heart sets off an increasingly dangerous confrontation for the family.
Jessica Chastain plays both Bela’s mother and the entity. The cast also includes Jay Duplass, Arabella Olivia Clark, Dichen Lachman, Arian Moayed and Karen Allen. The film is released by Universal Pictures.

Beware Boiúna, directed by Mike P. Nelson, moves the week’s genre programming into the Amazon. The action, thriller and horror film follows young doctors on a humanitarian medical mission along Brazil’s Curuçá River, where their arrival awakens the Boiúna.
The creature draws on Brazilian folklore surrounding a giant mythical serpent also known as the Cobra Grande. Kiana Madeira, Jessica Rothe and Logan Marshall Green star in the film. Alan McElroy wrote the screenplay from a story by McElroy and Tony Giglio. The film premiered at Fantastic Fest 2026 and is released by Lionsgate.
Marathi audiences have Afratafri, directed by Dinesh Kamble. The comedy features an ensemble led by Pravin Tarde, Bharat Jadhav and Upendra Limaye, with its characters becoming caught in a succession of chaotic situations and unexpected turns.

Music takes a central role in Linkin Park: Unshatter. Directed by Linkin Park member Joe Hahn and Mark Ritchie, the documentary follows the band’s return to music after the death of frontman Chester Bennington in 2017.
The film traces the period from studio sessions in 2022 through the From Zero album and the band’s concert in São Paulo. It also follows the arrival of Emily Armstrong as vocalist and Colin Brittain as drummer.
Linkin Park: Unshatter combines archival footage, material from behind the scenes, performances and conversations involving the band and fans. Emily Armstrong, Mike Shinoda, Joe Hahn, Brad Delson, Dave “Phoenix” Farrell and Colin Brittain feature, alongside archival footage of Chester Bennington and Rob Bourdon.

The wider PVR INOX slate includes Nova, Phase 1: The Arrival in Tamil, Baa Baa Black Sheep, Mayookha, Comrade Kalyan and Aadarsha Kutumbam House No: 47 in Telugu, Chitram in Malayalam, Paach Futaacha Bachchan in Marathi and Eh Din Roz Ni Aune in Punjabi.
PVR INOX is also continuing its weekday ticket initiatives. Weekday Mornings offers tickets starting at ₹99 on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, while Blockbuster Tuesdays offers tickets starting at ₹92. Friday First Day First Show tickets start at ₹149, subject to applicable terms, participating cinemas and availability.
The company has stated that the weekly film listings remain subject to last minute changes
