Mohan Bhagwat, Sarsanghchalak of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, calls ‘Shatak’ a portrayal of sacrifice, discipline and national unity at Keshav Kunj event in New Delhi
A film titled Shatak, produced to mark the centenary year of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, was highlighted at a recent event at Keshav Kunj in New Delhi. Addressing attendees, Mohan Bhagwat, Sarsanghchalak of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, described the project as more than a cinematic production, characterising it as a representation of an ideological journey.
Referring to the life of Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, founder of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Bhagwat said, “He was the founder of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and devoted his entire life to the organisation of the nation and social awakening. His life stood as a symbol of sacrifice, discipline, and an unwavering spirit of national unity.”
He further stated, “Through the film ‘Shatak’, an effort has been made to present various inspiring episodes from Dr. Hedgewar ji’s life. Notably, one of the songs in the film beautifully portrays a poignant incident from his childhood that shaped his character with strength and determination.” Bhagwat also extended congratulations to the cast, makers, and collaborators associated with the film.
Shatak is dedicated to the 100 year journey of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and is scheduled for a nationwide theatrical release on February 20.
