Pavan Guntupalli, Co Founder, Rapido, says over 1.5 lakh daily rides connect to metro stations as the platform crosses 1 million total rides per day in the city
Hyderabad | March 3, 2026: Rapido is seeing increased adoption of integrated travel planning in Hyderabad, with around 30,000 metro tickets now booked daily through its app. The trend points to commuters combining public transport with on-demand rides for complete door to station journeys.
In parallel, more than 1.5 lakh daily Rapido rides in the city are linked to metro stations, as users rely on bikes and autos to bridge the first and last segments of their commute. The city records over 1 million total Rapido rides each day, placing the platform among the most used mobility services in Hyderabad.
Nearly half of all rides occur during peak office and college hours, indicating that usage is concentrated around daily commute routines rather than occasional travel. The integration of in-app metro ticketing with bike and auto availability has reduced the need for commuters to switch platforms while planning multi-stage journeys.
Pavan Guntupalli, Co Founder, Rapido, said, “Urban mobility works best when it is seamless. In Hyderabad, we are seeing commuters actively combine metro travel with Rapido bikes and autos to make their daily journeys faster and more predictable. Our focus is to simplify multi modal travel through a single platform, so that public transport becomes the default choice for everyday commuting.”
Founded in 2015, Rapido operates across more than 400 cities in India. The platform facilitates over 5 million rides per day nationwide across bike taxis, auto rickshaws, cabs, parcel deliveries, flight bookings and food delivery. It also supports earning opportunities for captains across categories.
