Prof. V. Balakista Reddy, Chairman, Telangana Council of Higher Education, attends AI Student Summit 2026 as 3,500 students participate in “Hack with AI” initiative
Hyderabad, 28 February 2026: KLH Bachupally Campus hosted the AI Student Summit 2026 on 27 and 28 February, bringing together more than 750 teams and 3,500 students from institutions across India. The national level summit featured the 24 hour, Hack with AI hackathon as its flagship engagement.
The summit was graced by Prof. V. Balakista Reddy, Chairman, Telangana Council of Higher Education, as Chief Guest. Organized by the KLH ACM Student Chapter, the event was positioned as a structured academic and industry engagement platform integrating keynote sessions, AI innovation showcases and intensive hands on development.
During the 24 hour hackathon, participants worked in collaborative teams to design and develop application driven AI solutions addressing contemporary societal and industrial challenges. Students progressed through structured stages of problem identification, architecture design and functional prototype development within a time bound environment.
The initiative was conducted in collaboration with industry partners including Hirelexa, DEET, TSARO Labs, Regen, Quadric IT and Global Degree. Senior representatives from these organisations mentored participants through technical consultations and strategic discussions focused on scalability, deployment feasibility and industry alignment.
Among the industry mentors were Vamsi Reddy, Additional Director Corporate Relations at DEET; Vamsi, Founder of Hirelexa; Prashanthi, Chief Technology Officer at Hirelexa; Priyatham, Director Digital Innovation at Quadric IT; Manju, Vice President at Regen; Niranjan, Managing Partner at Regen; and SaiRam, Senior Solutions Architect at TSARO Labs.
The summit was supported by the Digital Employment Exchange of Telangana as Supporting Partner and Quadric IT as Title Sponsor, alongside other collaborators contributing to academic and operational execution.

The initiative was organized under the guidance of Principal Dr. L Koteswara Rao, with Dr. Muniraju Naidu serving as Faculty Convener. The summit concluded with keynote addresses and a panel discussion examining the future trajectory of Artificial Intelligence in India, emerging innovation trends and workforce preparedness in an AI driven economy.
The ACM KLH Bachupally Student Chapter, a fully student led body, continues to conduct technical workshops, innovation programs and leadership initiatives, and is recognized among ACM student chapters in India for mentoring new chapters and promoting student innovation across Telangana.
