Fabindia spokesperson underscores artisan cluster storytelling as brand introduces monochrome and jewel-toned reinterpretation of traditional embroidery
Fabindia’s Spring 2026 edit marks a decisive shift in the visual language of Chikankari, moving the craft beyond its signature pastels into deeper jewel tones and sharper silhouettes.
The collection reinterprets the centuries-old embroidery across Ethnic and Western styles for men, women and children. Introducing hues such as plum, berry and fuchsia across cotton, crepe and yarn-dyed textures, the edit presents co-ord sets, structured vests, resort dresses and saris that merge heritage craftsmanship with contemporary tailoring.
A standout within the range is a monochrome series featuring high-contrast black-and-white embroidery. The treatment reframes Chikankari as a bold design statement rather than a delicate embellishment, signalling a shift in how the craft is positioned within modern wardrobes.
Commenting on the collection, a Fabindia spokesperson said, “Behind every thread is a heartbeat; behind every pattern, a lifetime of devotion. To provide deeper context to the craftsmanship, we have released a film highlighting the master craftspeople within the artisan clusters. It offers an intimate lens into our cluster communities, going behind the stitches to reveal the patience and precision that define Chikankari.”
Extending the edit across categories, menswear includes long and short kurtas alongside embroidered shirts with detailed yoke work and ombre finishes. The kids’ line introduces all-over embroidered kurtas and checkered shirts in sun-washed yellows, soft pinks and breezy blues.
Each garment carries the Craftmark Tag, certifying the authenticity of hand-crafted work. The collection is available across 350+ Fabindia stores nationwide and online.
Founded in 1960, Fabindia operates over 340 stores across 127 cities in India and 13 international outlets, connecting thousands of rural artisans to urban markets.
