The five honours collectively recognised different areas of the company’s operations, ranging from guest services and culinary expertise to people management, hotel performance and wellness.

Samir M.C., CEO, Tamara Leisure Experiences, said, “These recognitions are particularly meaningful because they reflect the different elements that come together to define Tamara, our people, our destinations and the experiences we create. We have always believed that responsible and memorable hospitality is built through authentic engagement with our guests, our teams and the places in which we operate. To see this philosophy recognised across both individual and property categories is a strong affirmation of the work our teams do every day.”
The FHRAI 56th Annual Convention was held from August 21 to 23, 2026, at Taj Ganges. The event brought together more than 1,000 delegates from India and overseas, including policymakers, hospitality industry leaders and other stakeholders from the tourism sector.

The convention provided a platform for discussions and engagement around developments and priorities affecting the Indian hospitality industry.
Tamara Leisure Experiences also links its hospitality operations with employment opportunities within the destinations where its properties operate. According to the company, around 50% of its workforce is hired from local communities.
Its hospitality portfolio spans different travel segments. The Tamara Coorg offers a plantation based luxury experience, while O by Tamara operates in the contemporary urban hospitality segment. Amal Tamara focuses on personalised Ayurvedic wellness experiences.

The company also operates Lilac Hotels, which provides urban stays, while Tamara Eco Resorts focuses on luxury nature retreats.
Through these hospitality formats, Tamara Leisure Experiences focuses on connecting its properties with the local culture, communities and natural surroundings of their respective destinations.
The five FHRAI honours recognise both individual professionals and properties within this portfolio, covering hospitality operations, employee management, culinary expertise and wellness.
