A Republic Day Community Effort Brings Children Together Through Food and Play in Hyderabad

Mahender Vyas and A K Solanky of Ta.MA.Sha Veg Café joined hands with Aarohi Rawat of NextGen Hope and Kalyan Sanstha for a children focused initiative

Ta.MA.Sha Veg Café marked India’s 77th Republic Day in Hyderabad with a community initiative centred on children, combining recreation, learning, and nourishment as part of a day long engagement.
The initiative was led by Mahender Vyas, Founder, and A K Solanky, Co Founder of Ta.MA.Sha Veg Café. It was organised in collaboration with NextGen Hope and Kalyan Sanstha under the guidance of its Founder and Chairperson, Aarohi Rawat. The programme was designed to create a welcoming environment where children could participate in activities that encouraged interaction, confidence, and well being.

Children took part in outdoor games and were also introduced to pickleball, a sport that is gaining visibility globally. Organisers said the activity was intended to familiarise children with new fitness formats while promoting physical movement and healthy habits in an engaging setting.
As part of the celebration, the children were served nutritious Asian vegetarian meals prepared by Ta.MA.Sha Veg Café. The meal service reflected the café’s approach to mindful eating and wellness oriented hospitality, with a focus on balanced nutrition.

To conclude the programme, each child received school bags and notebooks. The organisers said the gesture was meant to support learning and serve as a reminder of the importance of education and encouragement in shaping young lives.
Speaking on the occasion, the founders said the initiative reflected their belief in contributing to the community in meaningful ways. They added that such engagements are part of a longer term intent to remain involved in socially responsible activities beyond the café’s core business.

Through the Republic Day initiative, Ta.MA.Sha Veg Café extended its values of compassion, sustainability, and conscious living into the community, using the national occasion as an opportunity to engage with children through shared experiences.
