MSDE Gives Working Parents A Childcare Space Inside Kaushal Bhawan

Shri Jayant Chaudhary inaugurated the 600 sq. metre daycare facility for children aged 6 months to 6 years at Kaushal Bhawan, with trained caregivers, play areas, learning resources and infant care rooms.

Mumbai, 8 June 2026: Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Hon’ble Minister of State, Independent Charge, for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and Minister of State for Education, Government of India, inaugurated a new daycare facility for children of employees at Kaushal Bhawan.
Kaushal Bhawan serves as the headquarters of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
Spread across nearly 600 sq. metres, the daycare facility has been created to support employees with young children and help them balance workplace responsibilities with family care.

The facility includes sleeping and resting areas, a play and activity zone, age appropriate learning resources, child friendly furniture, hygienic washrooms, feeding rooms and baby changing rooms.
The crèche will cater to children aged 6 months to 6 years and will be staffed by trained caregivers and support personnel.
The facility reflects MSDE’s focus on creating a more inclusive and family friendly workplace. By bringing childcare closer to the workplace, the initiative is expected to support working parents and create a more responsive work environment.

Debashree Mukherjee, Secretary, MSDE; Shri Dilip Kumar, Director General, Training, Directorate General of Training; Prof. Dr. Ashok Kumar Gaba, Executive Member, NCVET; Shri Niranjan Kumar Sudhansu, Additional Secretary, MSDE; Smt. Manisha Sensarma, Senior Economic Advisor, MSDE; Smt. Hena Usman, Joint Secretary, MSDE; Smt. Archana Mayaram, Economic Advisor, MSDE; Smt. Manasi Sahay Thakur, Joint Secretary, MSDE; and Shri M. Subramanian, Joint Secretary, MSDE, were present at the inauguration along with other senior officials from MSDE, DGT, NCVET and NSDC.
The initiative reflects the government’s effort to build workplaces that respond to the needs of a modern workforce while supporting employees with care responsibilities.
