Nekib Ahmed, Business Head for Northeast and West Bengal at Satin Creditcare Network Limited, said 15 relief vehicles and around 150 employees have been mobilised across Sivasagar, Charaideo and Jorhat.
Around 15,000 families affected by floods in Assam will receive relief supplies under a ₹1 crore assistance drive launched by Satin Creditcare Network Limited across nearly 200 villages.
The programme will cover flood affected communities in Sivasagar, Charaideo and Jorhat districts.
A fleet of 15 relief vehicles was flagged off by Nekib Ahmed, Business Head for Northeast and West Bengal at Satin Creditcare Network Limited, marking the start of the on ground distribution.
Around 150 SCNL employees have been mobilised for the relief effort.
The supplies include mosquito nets, bedsheets, kitchen utensils, disinfectants, sanitary pads, bleaching powder, food items and drinking water.
The distribution has been planned around immediate household requirements as families deal with the aftermath of flooding across the identified communities.
Nekib Ahmed, Business Head for Northeast and West Bengal at Satin Creditcare Network Limited, said Assam has remained an important part of the company’s operations and that the organisation wanted to support communities during the recovery period.
Through this initiative, we aim to provide timely assistance to families affected by the floods and support them as they begin the process of recovery, Ahmed said.
He added that Satin Creditcare’s engagement with communities extends beyond financial transactions and that the company would continue working with local stakeholders on relief and rehabilitation.
Satin Creditcare Network Limited has operated in Assam since 2017.
Across the Northeast, the company currently has 227 branches supported by approximately 2,500 employees.
Its operations in the region include financial services aimed at rural communities, with a particular focus on financial inclusion and livelihood opportunities for women.
The company said its existing branch presence and local teams have enabled it to mobilise people and supplies across affected areas.
