The World Environment Day initiative covered Bhartiya Urban sites, government schools and educational institutions in Karnataka, earning recognition from India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records.

Bengaluru, June 5, 2026: Bhartiya Urban Pvt. Ltd. has received recognition from India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records for the fastest plantation of 1,000 saplings conducted by an organisation.
The plantation drive was carried out on World Environment Day across Bhartiya Urban sites, government schools and educational institutions in Karnataka.
The initiative brought together employees, students, community members and other stakeholders to support green cover and community participation in environmental action.

The achievement was formally adjudicated according to the guidelines and criteria prescribed under the International Protocol of Records. After successful completion, Bhartiya Urban became eligible for inclusion in the upcoming editions of both India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records.
The felicitation ceremony was held on World Environment Day, a global observance focused on environmental protection and public awareness.

A spokesperson of Bhartiya Urban said, “This initiative reflects the company’s ongoing efforts to contribute to environmental conservation and create a lasting positive impact through collective action. We’ve always built environments with tress and flowering plants being at the core of our design and we’ve seen how our patrons have enjoyed such built environments. This record is another way for us to continue our effort on greening Bengaluru.”
The recognition highlights the scale of the plantation drive and Bhartiya Urban’s focus on environmental responsibility through community led participation.
