Chaitanya Sanganeria of MagicMinds says the experiential Maths Lab at Manaskriti School in Faridabad is designed to help students understand mathematical concepts through hands on learning models and interactive tools.
Experiential learning is increasingly shaping classroom education as schools explore new ways to make complex subjects more accessible to students. Reflecting this shift, MagicMinds has introduced its first experiential Maths Lab at Manaskriti School in Faridabad. The lab was inaugurated toward the end of February 2026 in the presence of school leadership, teachers and students. The launch included live demonstrations showing how students can interact with mathematical concepts using models, shapes, patterns and hands on learning tools.
The initiative aims to address a common challenge in mathematics education where students struggle to connect abstract concepts with real life understanding. Instead of focusing primarily on textbooks and memorisation, the lab encourages students to explore mathematical ideas through practical activities and visual learning. Before designing the lab, the MagicMinds team conducted interactive sessions with students and held discussions with teachers to identify where the fear of mathematics often begins. The findings suggested that students tend to lose confidence when mathematical concepts are presented without practical context.
The Maths Lab has therefore been designed to make mathematical ideas visible and relatable through movement, patterns, models and structured learning activities. The approach encourages students to develop conceptual understanding before relying on memorisation. Chaitanya Sanganeria of MagicMinds said the initiative emerged from the observation that students often struggle with abstraction rather than numbers themselves. He said the goal of the lab is to make mathematics more tangible so that children can relate concepts to real experiences and develop confidence in the subject.
The purpose of the lab is not to introduce additional academic pressure but to create a learning environment that helps students overcome fear associated with mathematics at an early stage. MagicMinds plans to expand the initiative by introducing similar Maths Labs in schools across multiple cities in the coming months. The organisation aims to develop hands on learning ecosystems that make mathematics more engaging and accessible for students.
