Author Shalini Passi will meet readers during the Crossword Book A Thon at Phoenix Marketcity, while writers Koral Dasgupta, Shunali Khullar Shroff and Tara Khandelwal join Meeti Shroff Shah for a panel discussion at Crossword Bookstore, Kemps Corner.
Mumbai, March 06, 2026: Two literary events at Crossword bookstores in Mumbai this week will spotlight conversations around women’s voices, identity and personal narratives ahead of International Women’s Day.
The programme includes an author interaction with Shalini Passi and a panel discussion featuring writers and commentators exploring contemporary perspectives on women’s choices and lived experiences.
On March 7, readers will have the opportunity to meet Shalini Passi during the Crossword Book A Thon at Phoenix Marketcity. The author of The Art of Being Fabulous: 10 Rules for a Beautiful Life will engage with audiences in a conversation about individuality, confidence and shaping personal narratives, followed by a book signing session.
A day earlier, on March 6, Crossword Bookstore at Kemps Corner will host a panel discussion titled What Women Don’t Want. The session will feature Koral Dasgupta, Shunali Khullar Shroff and Tara Khandelwal in conversation with Meeti Shroff Shah.
The discussion is expected to explore evolving expectations around women’s roles and the ways in which personal choices, identity and social perceptions intersect in contemporary life.
Organisers say the panel aims to encourage candid conversations through storytelling, humour and personal reflections. The speakers are expected to share experiences that resonate with audiences navigating similar social and professional dynamics.
Together, the two events highlight the role of literature and public dialogue in shaping cultural conversations around women’s perspectives, particularly during the Women’s Day weekend.
With both events scheduled at prominent Crossword venues in Mumbai, organisers expect participation from readers, writers and audiences interested in literary discussions and contemporary social themes.
