EV charging searches rise sharply across India as Justdial data points to stronger adoption interest

Justdial said searches for electric vehicle charging stations rose 127 percent across India between February 2025 and January 2026 and the previous 12 month period, while dealer queries increased 40 percent and EV batteries and power systems searches grew 96 percent.

Delhi, 10 March 2026: Consumer interest in electric vehicle infrastructure, vehicle access, and related power systems has risen sharply across India, according to new search data released by Justdial.
The company said searches for Electric Vehicle Charging Stations increased 127 percent nationwide when comparing the period from February 2025 to January 2026 with February 2024 to January 2025. The trend points to growing attention on charging availability and location discovery as EV adoption expands.

Among major cities, Delhi recorded a 98 percent rise in charging station searches, followed by Mumbai at 82 percent and Pune at 38 percent. The city level figures suggest that urban consumers are increasingly looking for signs of EV readiness as infrastructure demand grows.
Interest in Electric Vehicle Dealers also moved higher during the same period. Justdial said dealer related searches rose 40 percent across India, with Delhi recording a 51 percent increase. The growth indicates stronger purchase exploration among consumers evaluating electric vehicle options.

The data also showed a 96 percent national rise in searches related to EV Batteries and Power Systems. This points to growing awareness around battery performance, energy storage, and supporting components within the wider electric mobility ecosystem.
Taken together, the search trends reflect a broader shift in consumer attention toward the practical requirements of electric mobility, from charging access and vehicle discovery to battery related considerations.
