A Fabindia spokesperson said the range blends handcrafted textiles such as Ikat, Ajrakh and Chikankari with contemporary silhouettes, offering men’s and women’s workwear designed for comfort, individuality and everyday office use.
Workplace dressing is evolving as professionals look for clothing that reflects personal identity alongside functionality.
Fabindia has introduced a new workwear curation titled ‘Write Your Own Code’, focusing on blending traditional craftsmanship with contemporary office wear. The collection includes options for both men and women, designed to suit varied workplace settings.
The women’s range features short dresses, co ord sets, kurtas, dupattas and saris, incorporating techniques such as Chikankari, hand embroidery and block printing. The men’s selection includes shirts, kurtas and Bandhgala jackets, highlighting textile traditions like Ikat along with Bagru, Ajrakh and Dabu prints.
The garments are crafted using cotton and linen fabrics, aimed at providing comfort for extended work hours. The collection also includes accessories such as leather bags and jewellery pieces with silver, gold and dual tone finishes.
The curation is built around a mix and match approach, allowing users to combine traditional elements with modern silhouettes to create individual workwear styles.
A Fabindia spokesperson said, “The ‘Write Your Own Code’ campaign reflects how professionals today see their wardrobe as an extension of their identity. Workwear is no longer about uniformity but about expressing individuality while maintaining comfort and practicality.”
Each garment in the range carries the Craftmark Tag, indicating the authenticity of handcrafted work. The collection is available across Fabindia’s network of more than 350 stores.
The development reflects a broader shift in workplace fashion, where traditional textiles are being adapted into formats suited for contemporary professional environments.
