Sumedh Badve, Head of Strategy at Belrise Industries Limited, says the development brings specialised machining and design capabilities into the company’s portfolio as it looks beyond automotive manufacturing.
As manufacturing companies look to diversify beyond traditional segments, precision engineering is emerging as a key area of expansion, particularly in sectors requiring high accuracy and specialised materials.
In this context, Belrise Industries Limited has moved to expand its engineering capabilities through a deal involving United Kingdom based Chester Hall Precision Engineering Holdings Limited.
The transaction, executed through its step down wholly owned subsidiary Belrise UK Holdings Limited, involves the acquisition of full ownership of Chester Hall, a company known for its work in high precision component manufacturing.
Chester Hall specialises in machining complex components used in aerostructures, engine systems and satellite applications. The company also brings experience in working with advanced materials such as titanium and high grade aluminium, along with capabilities in concurrent design and development.
The deal, valued at approximately £13.2 million with revenues of around £18.5 million, includes a component of deferred consideration linked to future performance. It is expected to contribute positively to earnings and capital efficiency from the outset.
Sumedh Badve, Head of Strategy at Belrise Industries Limited, said, “This acquisition marks a defining chapter in Belrise’s journey. We are expanding beyond automotive into one of the most technically demanding sectors. Chester Hall brings deep precision engineering capabilities and a strong position within its industry. By combining their expertise with our manufacturing scale, we are building a platform for long term growth.”
The development reflects a broader shift in strategy as the company integrates large scale manufacturing operations in India and France with specialised engineering capabilities in the United Kingdom.
As demand grows for high precision components across advanced industries, such cross border integrations are expected to play a role in strengthening manufacturing depth and technical capability within Indian companies.
