Mphasis Builds Cloud and Data Center Backbone for Flagstar Growth Strategy

Mphasis has completed the first phase of a technology modernization programme with Flagstar Bank, marking one year of collaboration between the two organisations.
The programme focused on building a next generation data centre and cloud platform to support Flagstar’s transition toward a more scalable and resilient technology environment. The effort was designed to support the bank’s long term goal of strengthening its position as a regional banking institution.

Over the past year, Mphasis worked with Flagstar to modernise critical infrastructure, including consolidating six legacy data centres into two co sourced data centres. The process was completed in approximately twelve months, a timeline the companies said is uncommon for projects of this scale.
Following the consolidation, hundreds of business critical applications were migrated to the new platform without disruption to operations. The companies said the upgraded infrastructure has improved system performance and strengthened operational stability.

The partnership will now move into its next phase, which will focus on modernising applications and operations through the use of artificial intelligence and next generation technologies. Both organisations said the next stage will support continued growth and further enhance the bank’s digital capabilities.
