eScan Enterprise EDR stands out for real world threat defense in AV-TEST 2025 evaluation

Govind Rammurthy, CEO and Managing Director, eScan, highlights consistent performance in advanced threat protection as solution earns global recognition

New Delhi, March 31, 2026: eScan, a cybersecurity company under MicroWorld Technologies Inc., has received the AV-TEST Award 2025 for Best Advanced Protection in the Corporate Users category, recognising its Enterprise EDR solution for performance against ransomware and infostealer threats.
The award, presented by AV-TEST Institute, an independent cybersecurity testing organisation, places eScan among a select group of solutions demonstrating consistent performance in advanced threat protection testing.

The evaluation is based on Advanced Threat Protection scenarios that simulate real world cyberattacks, including ransomware and credential theft operations. These tests assess a solution’s ability not only to detect threats but also to prevent attack progression and system compromise.
According to AV-TEST, only a limited number of products met the criteria for advanced protection recognition in 2025, with eScan Enterprise EDR achieving consistent results across the full testing cycle.

Erik Heyland, Head of Testing Labs at AV-TEST, said the award recognises solutions that demonstrate effectiveness against evolving cybersecurity threats, particularly ransomware and infostealers.
Govind Rammurthy, CEO and Managing Director, eScan, said, “This recognition reflects our continued focus on addressing real world cybersecurity challenges. Organisations today require solutions that can respond across the entire attack lifecycle, from detection to containment, and ensure system integrity even under complex threat scenarios.”

The solution integrates endpoint protection, network monitoring, device control, and behavioural analysis into a unified platform designed to manage multi stage cyberattacks. Its capabilities include identifying unknown malware, monitoring suspicious processes, analysing network traffic, and enabling automated threat response.
The recognition comes at a time when organisations are facing increasing cybersecurity risks, including ransomware attacks targeting critical infrastructure and enterprise systems.
eScan’s Enterprise EDR solution is currently deployed across enterprise and government environments, supporting security operations against advanced and persistent threats.
