Prashant Agarwal, President of Narayan Seva Sansthan, along with G.C. Joshi of Shriram Pistons and Rings Limited and Sidhya Kaushik of CERMA SGS Technology Limited, said the initiative aimed to restore mobility, dignity, and self reliance among beneficiaries.
Narayan Seva Sansthan organised a Narayan Limb and Calipers Fitment Camp in Delhi, supporting 140 beneficiaries as part of its ongoing efforts to improve access to rehabilitation services.
The initiative was conducted with support from CSR partners including NGSL, a joint venture of NTPC and GE, Tourism Finance Corporation of India Limited, and Shriram Pistons and Rings Limited.
At the camp, 110 individuals were fitted with artificial limbs and 30 with calipers, with a total of 162 assistive devices provided to help restore mobility and independence. The programme was designed to bring rehabilitation services closer to beneficiaries, particularly those from economically weaker backgrounds.
The event was attended by Chief Guest G.C. Joshi of Shriram Pistons and Rings Limited, Chairperson Sidhya Kaushik, Coordinator at CERMA SGS Technology Limited, and Guest of Honour Pooja Chhetri, HR Assistant Manager at Himri State Pvt. Ltd. Several social workers and community representatives were also present.
Prashant Agarwal, President of Narayan Seva Sansthan, said, “Every step taken with artificial limbs is not just a step towards mobility, but a step towards dignity.” He added that 140 individuals had been selected through prior camps and emphasised the importance of delivering rehabilitation services closer to those in need.
G.C. Joshi said, “The organization is not only empowering differently abled individuals but also helping restore their lost confidence, making it a highly inspiring initiative for society.”
Sidhya Kaushik said such initiatives play an important role in supporting individuals affected by economic hardship or accidents, with a focus on enabling self reliance.
A key moment during the event saw beneficiaries participate in a parade wearing their newly fitted limbs, reflecting confidence and a sense of renewed independence. Medical professionals guided participants on the use and maintenance of prosthetics, while a 30 member team managed the execution of the camp.
Dignitaries interacted with beneficiaries and reviewed the fitment process, while participants also took part in assisted walking sessions and activities designed to build confidence.
Camp In charge Hari Prasad Laddha expressed gratitude to all supporters and participants involved in organising the initiative.
Established in 1985, Narayan Seva Sansthan has provided free artificial limbs and medical services to thousands of individuals. The organisation has conducted over 452000 free surgeries and fitted more than 39338 artificial limbs to date.
