Indo-French Academic Engagement Deepens as Global Institutions Convene at Marwadi University

Marwadi University has emerged as a focal point for international academic collaboration after hosting the Regional Choose France Tour 2026, reinforcing India’s expanding role in global higher education engagement. The initiative aligns with the objectives of the National Education Policy 2020, which encourages cross-border partnerships, student mobility, and collaborative research frameworks.
The event brought together senior representatives from the French diplomatic and academic ecosystem, along with 18 leading higher education institutions from France. Their participation reflected growing international confidence in India’s higher education infrastructure and the ability of emerging universities to serve as effective gateways for global academic exchange.

Officials from the Consulate General of France, Institut Français en Inde, and Campus France were present, underscoring the depth of Indo-French cooperation in education. The engagement highlighted structured pathways for Indian students to access French universities through government-supported mobility and research programmes.
The Choose France Tour at Marwadi University reached over 1,000 students across undergraduate, final-year, and research tracks, cutting across disciplines. The programme extended beyond a single-day interaction, offering students sustained exposure to international study opportunities, academic systems, and research ecosystems in France.

Dedicated sessions were conducted on Études en France procedures, complemented by personalised counselling through an on-campus student fair. A French language and cultural orientation programme, organised in collaboration with Alliance Française, provided students with practical insights into academic integration and life in France. These components collectively enabled clarity around applications, scholarships, research opportunities, and long-term academic planning.
Speaking on the occasion, Dhruv Marwadi, Trustee, Marwadi University, said the initiative was designed to prepare students for global education rather than simply inform them about overseas options. He noted that bringing international institutions, diplomatic leadership, and students onto one platform marked a shift in how international exposure is accessed in regions beyond India’s major metropolitan centres.

The event saw participation from globally recognised French institutions including KEDGE Business School, Audencia Business School, Grenoble Ecole de Management, NEOMA Business School, SKEMA Business School, Rennes School of Business, and EM Strasbourg, many of which hold international accreditations such as AACSB, EQUIS, and AMBA. Specialised institutions including EPITECH, Institut Lyfe France, ESSCA School of Management, De Vinci Higher Education, Burgundy School of Business, ESDES Business School, OMNES Education France, ESAIP, TBS Education, ISC Paris Business School, and MBS School of Business also took part.

Distinguished attendees included Ms. Sophie Henquinet, Attaché for French Language Cooperation for West India at the Consulate General of France; Ms. Eloise Ondet, National Coordinator, Campus France India; Scientific and Academic Cooperation Officers Mr. Angel Fortin and Ms. Ainaen Han; Ms. Khushi Nigam, Officer for Procédure Études en France; and senior Campus France managers Mr. Sujit Nair, Ms. Shalaka Joshi, and Ms. Urjita Jaisinghani.
