Brushstrokes of Tomorrow: 6th Mumbai Art Fair Unites 250 Emerging Artists Across India

From miniatures to sculptures, the Mumbai Art Fair 2025 showcases over 3,000 affordable artworks by self-taught and undiscovered talents.

The 6th edition of the Mumbai Art Fair opened its doors this weekend, welcoming art enthusiasts, collectors, and curators to a vibrant display of over 3,000 original artworks by more than 250 upcoming artists from across the country. Hosted at the Nehru Centre Exhibition Space, the fair continues until 8 October 2025, promising an inclusive platform for lesser-known, self-taught, and emerging creators in Indian art.
This year’s fair embraces diversity across medium and genre, presenting a wide array of works ranging from paintings, sculptures, miniatures, to installations. Prices are curated to be accessible, making fine art more affordable for first-time buyers and collectors alike.

“Mumbai Art Fair has become a platform for upcoming artists to build their careers. Many who began their journey here now exhibit globally,”
said Nilesh Gohil, Curator and Founder, Mumbai Art Fair.
Artists are exhibiting from all over India, including Maharashtra, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, and Madhya Pradesh. The fair also features several first-time exhibitors, who are using the platform to gain visibility among gallerists and patrons.

The Mumbai Art Fair is particularly known for spotlighting self-taught, non-mainstream, and rural artists offering them visibility in the country’s art capital. The 2025 edition aims to bridge the gap between creators and audiences while fostering a strong buying ecosystem beyond elite galleries and auctions.
Admission is free to the public, further democratizing access to contemporary Indian art.
