R G Chandramogan, Chairman of Hatsun Agro Product Ltd, says the record reflects the brand’s focus on quality and the shared joy of ice cream
Hyderabad, 6 February 2026: Arun Icecreams brought together 5,113 children in Hyderabad to create the world’s largest ice cream social party, earning a place in the Guinness World Records. The record-setting event marked a significant milestone for the brand, which operates under Hatsun Agro Product Ltd.
As part of the coordinated event, participating children consumed Arun Icecreams products continuously for 30 minutes, meeting the criteria set by Guinness World Records. The selection included blackcurrant and strawberry bars, caramel sandwiches, and chocolate cones, all made using real milk and cream. The scale and synchronisation of the activity enabled the brand to surpass the previous record of 962 participants, set in Salerno, Italy, in January 2019.
Commenting on the achievement, R. G. Chandramogan, Chairman of Hatsun Agro Product Ltd, said the moment was special for the company and the children involved. He said seeing over 5,000 children come together to set a Guinness World Record reflected the company’s long-standing commitment to quality and the simple happiness associated with ice cream.
The Guinness World Record was officially validated by Richard William Stenning from the Guinness World Records team in the United Kingdom. The certificate recognising the achievement was presented to C. Sathyan, Vice Chairman of Hatsun Agro Product Ltd, in the presence of students and representatives from participating schools across Hyderabad.
Schools that took part in the event included Sri Durga High School, Vaidehi Dolphine High School, St Mary’s Grammar High School, CMR International School, Akshara Vaagdevi International School, Army Public School, Little Flower High School, Sreenidhi Global School, Takshasila Public School, Sri Sai High School, Delhi World School, Pallavi Model School, Pallavi International School, and St Mary’s PSM High School, among others.
The record further adds to Arun Icecreams’ presence as a leading ice cream brand in India, supported by a wide retail footprint and an extensive portfolio catering to diverse consumer preferences. The company said the initiative was designed to celebrate community participation while reinforcing its connection with younger consumers.
