Parallel Verses: Rashi Mal Releases Stay and Na Jaa in Hindi and English

Actor-singer Rashi Mal’s twin release blends English and Hindi to tell two emotional sides of the same story now streaming on Spotify, YouTube and Apple Music.

Actor-singer-songwriter Rashi Mal has unveiled her latest bilingual release Stay (English) and Na Jaa (Hindi), two emotionally charged tracks that explore the same core theme of separation through different sonic lenses. The release marks her continued evolution as a storyteller who moves seamlessly between performance, writing, and music.
The project is deeply personal. While Stay conveys a quiet, reflective plea in English, Na Jaa brings a more urgent emotional expression in Hindi. Each song is accompanied by its own visual aesthetic and lyrical direction, offering listeners a dual experience of the same story told through two cultural and emotional frames.

“This is the most honest I’ve ever been in my songwriting,” said Rashi. Stay is the voice inside your head asking someone not to go. Na Jaa is the version where you’re finally brave enough to say it out loud.
Both songs were written and performed by Rashi herself, with Stay featuring a softer, international acoustic-pop production, while Na Jaa leans into cinematic Indian instrumentation and emotive vocal delivery. The duality mirrors not just language but emotional pacing one introspective, the other declarative.

Rashi, known for her roles in Kaala, Pyaar Actually, and Raisin, has steadily been building a multi-hyphenate career. Her previous indie single Misaal made it to several top indie playlists, and she’s been featured in major music collaborations with artists like Nucleya and Ritviz.

With Stay and Na Jaa, she ventures deeper into original storytelling, blending global songwriting structure with Indian melodic intuition.
The songs are now available on all major music streaming platforms, with official music videos on YouTube.
