AI Ready School partnered with Adv. Bapusaheb Bhonde High School in Lonavala to conduct a four day classroom pilot where students, teachers and school leaders explored practical Artificial Intelligence applications, while Co founder and CEO Chiranjeevi Maddala said structured AI integration can improve learning outcomes and classroom readiness.
A four day Artificial Intelligence pilot programme conducted by AI Ready School in partnership with Adv. Bapusaheb Bhonde High School, Lonavala, recorded an average 31 per cent improvement in student performance, offering insights into how AI can be introduced into classrooms through structured teaching and practical learning.
The initiative brought together students, teachers and school leaders to explore how Artificial Intelligence can support classroom learning, creativity, productivity and decision making while helping schools evaluate responsible approaches to AI adoption.
The pilot was conducted as schools continue to assess the role of Artificial Intelligence in education, with growing interest in curriculum integration, teacher preparedness, student readiness and the ethical use of emerging technologies. AI Ready School designed the programme around its AI Ecosystem for Schools, enabling participants to experience classroom based AI applications through guided learning and practical activities.
The four day programme included workshops, demonstrations and interactive sessions covering AI readiness frameworks, future skills, AI powered learning tools, productivity applications, responsible AI practices, classroom implementation, problem solving and a structured roadmap for integrating Artificial Intelligence into schools.
Students from Grade 8 participated in an AI enabled Science module on Reflection of Light and Its Applications, allowing them to apply Artificial Intelligence within a classroom setting while strengthening conceptual understanding through practical learning.
According to the programme assessment, 43 of the 46 participating students demonstrated measurable learning gains, while the overall cohort recorded an average improvement of 31 per cent between baseline and final assessments. Participants also developed two functional AI applications within four hours, demonstrating the role of Artificial Intelligence in supporting creativity, problem solving and collaborative learning.
Commenting on the programme, Chiranjeevi Maddala, Co founder and Chief Executive Officer, AI Ready School, said, “The outcomes of this pilot reinforce our belief that AI can meaningfully enhance classroom learning when introduced through a structured and pedagogically sound approach. The measurable improvements in student performance and the ability of participants to build functional AI applications within a short span demonstrate that AI can move beyond theory and become an effective tool for deeper learning, creativity and problem solving. Our collaboration with Adv. Bapusaheb Bhonde High School has shown how schools can adopt AI responsibly while preparing students and educators for the future.”
Ahead of the pilot, teachers at Adv. Bapusaheb Bhonde High School participated in a dedicated Artificial Intelligence orientation programme, reflecting the institution’s efforts to evaluate emerging technologies within classroom teaching. Supported by its digital infrastructure and school leadership, the institution created an environment for assessing AI enabled learning in a structured academic setting.
Sharing the school’s experience, Jagadish K. Math, Governing Member, Adv. Bapusaheb Bhonde High School, said, “The pilot provided our students, teachers and leadership team with valuable first hand exposure to the practical application of Artificial Intelligence in education. It enabled us to better understand how AI can be integrated responsibly into classroom teaching while encouraging greater collaboration, critical thinking and innovation among students. Our partnership with AI Ready School has been an important step towards building a future ready learning environment, and the insights gained through this programme will help shape our approach to technology enabled education.”
AI Ready School said the pilot forms part of its efforts to support schools through classroom ready Artificial Intelligence frameworks that combine teacher capacity building with practical learning experiences, helping students develop skills relevant to an increasingly AI driven world.
