The Distinguished Alumni Awards will recognise Arun Pai, Rashmi Mohanty, Manish Tiwary, Karthik Reddy and Dipesh Shah during the PGP and PGPBA reorientation on 14 June 2026.

Bengaluru, 3 June 2026: IIM Bangalore has shared the 2026 recipients of its Distinguished Alumni Awards, recognising five alumni for their work across civic action, finance, corporate leadership, venture capital and technology.
The awardees are Arun Pai from PGP 1993, Rashmi Mohanty from PGP 1995, Manish Tiwary from PGP 1995, Karthik Reddy from PGP 1996 and Dipesh Shah from PGSEM 2002.
Instituted in 2007, the Distinguished Alumni Awards honour alumni for exceptional achievement across industry, corporate roles, entrepreneurship and social service. Each recipient will receive a citation and have their name engraved on the Wall of Fame at the institute.

The awards will be presented on 14 June 2026 during the reorientation programme of the Post Graduate Programme in Management and Post Graduate Programme in Business Analytics batch of 2025 to 2027.
Arun Pai is a Bengaluru based civic leader known for his work on walkability, public spaces and urban infrastructure. Founder of Bangalore Walks and India Rising Trust, he has also been associated with The Ugly Indian and citizen led efforts to improve pedestrian spaces, sanitation and public infrastructure.
Rashmi Mohanty is the Chief Financial Officer of SBI Cards and Payment Services Limited. With more than three decades of experience across banking, treasury, corporate finance and financial strategy, she has held leadership roles across Deutsche Bank, GE Capital, Religare Enterprises, Vedanta Limited and Clix Capital.

Rashmi Mohanty said, “I humbly accept this award. IIM Bangalore gave me the confidence to build a career on my own terms, and this gave me the courage to pursue my passions beyond the boardroom. This recognition celebrates excellence across all dimensions of life not confining it just to careers. I hope it inspires others, especially women, to build an identity beyond their career, invest in their wellbeing and nurture their passions.”
Manish Tiwary is Chairman and Managing Director of Nestlé India, with responsibility across Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and the Maldives. Before Nestlé India, he worked with Amazon for nine years, including as Country Head for Amazon India, and spent two decades at Hindustan Unilever Limited.

Karthik Reddy is Co Founder and Managing Partner at Blume Ventures, which manages over US$900 million in assets. Blume has backed more than 175 startups across four core funds, with investments across companies including Smallcase, Servify, Ultrahuman, LeverageEdu, Niqo Robotics, Unacademy, GreyOrange, Stage, Exotel and IDfy.
Dipesh Shah is Executive President and Chief Technology Officer at Havells India Limited. He has over three decades of experience across research, consumer technology and technology leadership. He was the first employee and later the first Indian Managing Director of Samsung R and D Institute Bangalore, where he helped build a team of over 15,000 engineers.
The 2026 list reflects IIM Bangalore’s alumni presence across public life, finance, consumer business, startup investment and technology leadership.
