Prof. Rajeev Ahuja, Director, IIT Ropar, and Shri Anshul Goel, Director, VUI Consultancy Pvt. Ltd., signed the MoU in the presence of Shri Dinkar Gupta, former Director General of the National Investigation Agency and Professor of Practice at IIT Ropar.
The Indian Institute of Technology Ropar has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with VUI Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. to collaborate on artificial intelligence enabled cybersecurity research, digital trust, and emerging security technologies.
The MoU was signed by Prof. Rajeev Ahuja, Director, IIT Ropar, and Shri Anshul Goel, Director, VUI Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. The signing took place in the presence of Shri Dinkar Gupta, former Director General of the National Investigation Agency and Professor of Practice at IIT Ropar, Dr. Atharva Poundarik, Head of the Department of Biomedical Engineering, and other faculty members.
The partnership is aimed at developing indigenous AI powered cybersecurity products and platforms aligned with national security requirements.
Key areas of collaboration will include AI for cybersecurity, cyber defence platforms, critical infrastructure security, digital forensics, and privacy and compliance systems.
The agreement also includes plans to build skilled manpower through internships, certifications, joint research, faculty exchange, dissertations, centres of excellence, and joint commercialisation of research outputs.
VUI Consultancy Pvt. Ltd. is an Indian technology and cybersecurity company working across integrated cybersecurity, intelligence, AI, and digital platform solutions. The company delivers sovereign digital platforms, cyber defence systems, AI driven analytics, and enterprise scale custom technology solutions for government organisations, PSUs, and regulated enterprises across India and the UAE.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Rajeev Ahuja said the collaboration reflects IIT Ropar’s commitment to translating academic research into real world solutions for India’s digital security landscape.
Through this MoU, IIT Ropar and VUI Consultancy aim to combine academic research and industry capability to support India’s growing need for secure digital systems and advanced cyber defence solutions.
