Shweta Thakare, Global Vice President, Sales and Marketing, eScan, and Govind Rammurthy, CEO and Managing Director, eScan, discuss cyber resilience, secure AI adoption and the need to connect enterprise security investments with business priorities.
Cyber resilience, data protection and secure adoption of artificial intelligence were among the key areas discussed as eScan participated in the Delhi chapter of the CIO 500 Intercity Events 2026.
The cybersecurity company engaged with CIOs and technology leaders on the challenges enterprises face while managing increasingly complex and distributed IT environments, particularly as organizations expand their use of AI, cloud platforms and hybrid work models.
At the event, eScan presented its Enterprise Security Suite, which includes Endpoint Detection and Response, Extended Detection and Response, Enterprise Mobile Management and Data Loss Prevention.
The discussions examined how enterprises can improve security visibility and protection while limiting additional operational complexity. Cost management and the need to generate measurable business value from AI and wider digital investments were also part of the conversations.
Shweta Thakare, Global Vice President, Sales and Marketing, eScan, said, “CIOs are increasingly expected to strengthen cyber resilience while ensuring that technology investments remain practical, scalable and aligned with business priorities. Our conversations at CIO 500 offered valuable insight into how organizations are approaching this balance. There is a clear need for security solutions that provide comprehensive protection without making the technology environment harder to manage,”
Data protection was another area of focus as enterprises increase their reliance on cloud infrastructure, AI enabled tools and distributed working environments. Discussions covered visibility into sensitive information and controls governing how enterprise data is accessed, shared and transferred.
The conversations also considered cybersecurity within the wider technology strategy of organizations rather than as an isolated technology function.
Govind Rammurthy, CEO and Managing Director, eScan, said, “The role of cybersecurity is changing as technology becomes more closely linked to business outcomes. Conversations around AI, digital investments and cyber resilience showed that organizations need security to be integrated into their wider technology strategy. Engaging directly with CIOs helps us understand these evolving requirements and the practical challenges security teams encounter,”
The interactions at CIO 500 also covered emerging cyber risks and changing enterprise security priorities as organizations modernize their technology environments.
For eScan, the discussions provided an opportunity to understand how CIOs are approaching the relationship between cybersecurity, AI adoption, digital investments and business continuity while managing practical considerations around cost and complexity.
